We had wanted to book overnight lodgings at this hotel, but an early booking on no-cancellation (even with notice) terms didn't suit our free-wheeling road trip. So we dined here, partly to see what we were missing. We missed quite a lot !!! Super place, steeped in history but without the overt and often incongruous artefacts found in many historic... More

A nice experience, great prime rib. This place is inside the Gold Hill hotel on the way to downtown Virginia City. The prices were decent, the pla e was clean and the service was good.

We at the Crown Point tonight and the meal was excellent. We split the Prime Rib. We haven't eaten there since it reopened last year and we were glad to finally try it. We heard from several people that it was very good.

We had dinner at the Crown Point restaurant in the Gold Hill hotel. The restaurant was one of the few open after 5PM. The food was the best we had in Virginia City, but modest at best. The wine list was the best we saw in Virginia City. but this is faint praise at best. Reasonable prices, friendly service.

After a being on the road all day, the last thing you might want to do is get back in the car to find dinner. Gold Hill Hotel has an on-site restaurant, Crown Point Restaurant. The dining room is very elegant from the white linen tables and dark wooden chairs. It’s the perfect setting for a nice meal. The service... More

Had Surf and Turf that was out of this world, not to mention reasonably priced! Great relaxing atmosphere and only disappointment was they were unable to use the wood burning fire place the evening I visited....

Visiting from out of town and were staying in Reno and went to Crown Point Restaurant for a steak dinner. We were there on a Thursday night and bought a meal package that included the lecture - Cowboy poetry in the room next to the dining area. There is a great view of the mountains out of the window

The meals are presented as advertised. Presentation can make or break a meal and they did present in a very good manner. The steak was cooked to perfection and the service was very punctual. We didn't try the wine list because we had absorbed the rustic atmosphere and preferred beer with our meal. It too was delicious and chilled to... More

A fine chef knows his stuff; the menu is limited but of high quality, the wine list adequate for the purpose. The dining area is small but comfortable, and the ambience fine
