I make a yearly trip to Virginia City and Cafe Del Rio is the "must do" thing on my list each year! The menu is full of interesting choices, the food is consistently wonderful and the portions are generous. It's a short walk up the main street, but you'll appreciate the walk afterward as it will justify your having completely... More

Great prime rib and fast/friendly service - even on a busy/sell-out Saturday night. We will be back!

The Caesar Salad with steak was quite possibly the very best I've ever eaten. Even the croutons were incredible. We were luck y and got there about 10 min. before opening so no wait but it filled up fast. Also, the house margaritas are delicious and large. Deserves to be #1! My friend had the Chili Relleno and it was... More

Had a great lunch, tacos and enchiladas are amazing! It does get crowded, definitely go on early side. A little further down C street than the busier saloons,- but worth a little bit of a walk if you arrive on the V&T railroad

We came here for dinner after spending the day in Virginia City. The food was off the charts! They had a special called Gospel Fried Chicken (because it's heavenly). Extremely good. We also had the ahi tacos which were great. A surprisingly delicious place at the edge of the town that is certainly deserving of a visit. I would definitely... More

The food is very good - it is not a very big menu, but it has all the favorites. We had a caesar salad with steak, it was very good. Their steak tacos are huge and also very good. Whatever you decide to have you will enjoy it. Service is excellent.

We ate here with friends while visiting Virginia City. Be sure to make a reservation as it's very popular and not really large. I had the BBQ Chicken Quesadilla with pesto, which was absolutely delicious! My husband had a beef and a shrimp enchilada, and the shrimp were amazingly large and fresh! Our friends had a salad and a burger,... More

Had lunch with 3 adults, 1 senior, and 1 child. The child was entertained by the stone and glass chess set in the foyer while we waited for our table. The wait was 5 minutes or so. The old architecture was really a cool factor to me. There were stone walls, and the front windows that opened to the outdoors.... More

Very nice meal and nice atmosphere. I ordered the vegetarian enchilada. The ingredients sound like they would not go together, but they do. The margaritas was good and plenty strong for me. The decorations were cheery and the restaurant was clean. Has a good selection of entries.

After a busy day, we had an absolutely wonderful dinner at Cafe Del Rio tonight. Tried the carnitas as well as the enchiladas. We enjoyed it so much, it is a pity you cannot lick a plate clean in public! Dinner check for 2 entrees and 2 ice teas totaled $30. Very good price for the quality of the food,... More
