Great value for your bucks. Excellent buffet and service. Lots of food selection. Prime rib rost, turkey, ham and so much more. Pasta, pizza selection, Asian foods lots of salads , dessert. If you love to eat lots...this is definitely a place for you.

They have so many selections of food from seafood to pizza, salad crab, deserts galore. Not crowed and great service

Position not as good as it's sister nearer the lake; barely helpful staff; noisy air-conditioning and guests along with thin walls make for uneasy rest; smoking inside makes for unpleasant atmosphere. In-house Starbucks fine but the 5000 cameras and bus-station ambience means you want to leave asap.

Food is abundant and good quality and price. I just don't understand the décor..not attractive. was better when it looked like a forest and not whatever it is now supposed to be. Also they had one area of the restaurant closed so you couldn't sit near a window (this was on a Sunday at 12). Cant figure out why, so... More

Been going to the Forest Buffet over 40 years and it remains a great value for large groups. One of the few places in Tahoe that will take reservations for parties of 12+. Large variety of items and they constantly refresh. Views are nice too. FYI, get a Harrah's player card and they take off 10%.

For years, since at least 2002, whenever my husband, daughter and I would visit Tahoe, we always went to the Sunday Brunch on the top floor. This time, we were disappointed. The service was good, but the food was just mediocre if not lazy. They stopped serving crab, and only had peel your own shrimp. The variety of dishes was... More

The omelet station was very good as was the nice and crispy waffles. Piles of bacon and sausage seemed to delight everyone. The dessert bar was beautiful and inspiring. The chocolate covered strawberries were my favorite. The brunch came with three champagne drinks (champagne or mimosas) and a beautiful view. The waitress was very attentive, we never went without empty... More

A place to eat if you are coming down to South Lake Tahoe, we ate pretty much all the crab that was on offer and plus more. The staff were also amazing and was very impressed with there service. Try and get a window seat with the view of the Lake.

The variety was good with a build your own omelet station, carved prime rib, waffles and topping bar, a selection of Asian dishes, sushi and champagne in addition to traditional breakfast favorites. The food was good and temperatures appropriate. The view overlooking Lake Tahoe from the 18th floor was spectacular.

Buffet left a lot to be desired, not bad, but not great, I expected more for $40/ea ... Steak was rare , undercooked and Grizzley , shrimp was great , both breaded and chilled, chicken was undercooked, however the ribs were phenomenal , I was a little disappointed however I did get my moneys worth.
