Excellent food. Limited menu. Great kids options plus they get free dessert. Only open 2 nights. You must make reservations. Well worth it! We had steak.

The Hungry Bear is located within the Ridge Tahoe Resort, so may not be available to all parties. It is usually open for only 2 - 3 nights per week. All food is extremely fresh, locally sourced and elegantly prepared. Service is impeccable. Catering is also available for weddings or other private parties -- this is food cooked for banquets,... We enjoyed the early bird dinner. The food was great, the service was great, and really enjoyed the piano player.

Chef Stephen is a creative master of those over-used words 'fresh seasonal". He really does take what he creates as a total experience of visual presentation, textures and flavors to a different level. The dining room is casual and relaxed. Recently I had a wonderful halibut with pistachio sorrel pesto, a perfect compliment to the well prepared fish. Lamb shank... More

Near the top of Heavenly Valley ski area and near the top of my list of great places. My wife and I were treated to the type of meal where you start guessing what special ingredients made the ribeye steak sauce so succulent or how the cook kept the vegetables taste so vivid. The service was excellent and timely. The added... More

This is a wonderful restaurant. Impeccable service and delicious meals. Too bad it's only open on Wed. and Thurs. nights.

We ate our New Years dinner there. It was nice in a country club sort of way. It was pretty expensive and the choices for kids was limited as well as a very young cutoff for the kids meals. It was $20 for a kids meal up to age 11. We had two kids slightly older and there was no... More

Their "famous muffins" taste like the same as supemarket super-sweet muffins. The seats are not in good condition. It's ragged in there. And Denny's makes a better breakfast. The only good thing is the view of the lake.

This restaurant was inside the Ridge Resort Club house. It was great food with an expanding atmosphere. There are mirrors on the walls that make it look much bigger. The waitstaff was excellent and the food was well made. Selection was not the greatest as my wife was really limited because she doesn't eat mushrooms. At least six items on... More
