Went to Mirabelle and was completely impressed with the service, food, and atmosphere. The chef even came out and visited with us. Loved the food! Such a great variety, and cooked to such perfection.

We loved this place! Both my husband and I ordered a melon salad. Fresh melon slices with sea salt and a bit of jalapeño peppers with a drizzle of orange juice. I will try to duplicate this at home. Simple but wonderful. I had the pork and it was outstanding. My husband loved the venison with the huckleberry sauce. Desert... More

At the TI we'd picked up a menu with some very exciting, novel main dishes but when we got there we found out that the menu was dated and most of those dishes were no longer available. So we had some great venison and lamb instead. The appetizers had more French-flare with excellent escargot and a really novel peach-watermelon gazpacho... More

The staff tried hard to please us but nothing could salvage a generally awful meal. Since when is French food spicy? After being told that the vegetarian dish was not spicy (ingredients sounded Moroccan), it absolutely was as was the arugula salad accompanying the lamb dish (making the arugula so hot that we had to pause eating at all). The... More

We recently came here for a birthday dinner & will return. This eatery is off the beaten track in a small nondescript plaza, but close to Hwy 50 & casinos. The minimalistic front of this restaurant is deceptive, so don't let that deter you. Service was terrific and timely. Our waiter, Todd, was attentive, knowledgeable, detailed in description of their... More

5 minutes drive from Montbleu hotel. It's a hidden jewel in Lake Tahoe, mostly cater to the local. Foie gras was well prepare, beef tenderloin was outstanding. Must try dessert: "souffle". Service was very attentive, friendly and professional. I will definitely return.

We'd been at this restaurant many times and dinner was always by the menu. This year we reserved through opentable and there was no info about a fixed menu or the price of such menu. When we arrived they served us one oyster and one small crouton with imitation of caviar. And were told that dinner was a fixed menu... More

As a local, Mirabelle's has long been a favorite dinner house of mine. It's a small, hidden spot with no draw other than good food and service. The chef, while preping for dinner, is now serving a limited menu lunch. What a treat on a snowy afternoon. Drop by before two & enjoy a delicious, unhurried lunch with a lovely... More

It's off the beaten path, and in a strip mall on Kingsbury drive, but it's worth the work finding it. Food and service are great, with some really interesting daily specials. We went for lunch and had the cassoulet which was a good choice here. Also the wine list is pretty impressive for a small place

Mirabella's is one of our go to restaurants when we come to Tahoe. The food is always good and the specials are very creative. We enjoyed the "onion tart" appetizer and two specials, trout and pumpkin gnocchi-both were very well prepared and a treat to eat!

Description
Philosophy of the Food: Tradition and Uncompromising Quality The philosophy of the food at Mirabelle is to respect the tradition of the restaurant and its food, as well as to respect the uncompromising quality of each ingredient that goes into each dish. At Mirabelle, it is not about the plate, or the flatware, or the stemware: it is about quality of the food on that plate, the quality of the wine in the stemware, and the quality, warmth and tradition of the service. Commitment to these ideas is what has brought Mirabelle this far and is what will sustain Mirabelle into the future. The menu at Mirabelle will feature as much local and seasonal product as possible to stay true to the concept of fine French food. Whenever possible whatever can be made to standard in-house, will be made in-house: i.E., All pastas, certain cured meats and charcuterie, and certain fresh cheeses. The menu at Mirabelle will always reflect what is at the peak of seasonality and as local as possible, which is the way the French have been cooking for hundreds of years, tradition. Because of this constant commitment to quality, seasonality and tradition, the menu is well thought out and tightly focused on the concept. It may seem, compared to some other similarly sized area restaurants, fairly small: do a few things, but do them extremely well. Or, for music lovers: play only the notes you want to play. Menu items are designed to be reasonably sized, to encourage the guest to order multiple courses. The menu will, for the most part, be a la carte style. At times throughout the year, due to seasonality and to reflect specific holidays, multi-course, fixed price menu will be offered along with the regular menu. Philosophy of the Service: Warm, friendly, professional and treats the guest as a guest. Each guest at Mirabelle is treated as you would a guest in your home. Hospitality is a lost art, and we at Mirabelle are bent on bringing this art back. When guests come to a restaurant they are hoping to be treated with great care and understanding. We want our guests to return not just because of the food, but because they love the hospitality they receive while they are with us. The service staff at Mirabelle is well-trained and knowledgeable about the food being served and preparations, as well as wine and spirit savvy. All of this combines to offer the guest a very special dining experience that can be enjoyed for any reason or no particular reason at all.
