Our waitress was friendly and we had a good time joking with her and she returned the joking . The food was delicious. All four of us had different entries. We had shrimp pan roast, lazy man's chippino, combination stew and pan seared pecan crusted salmon. Not one complaint.

Lunch or dinner at John's Oyster Bar feels like a visit with old friends. We sit at the counter and watch Reyna prepare a shrimp pan roast at the steam pan right in front of us. Add to this a combo crab and shrimp louie (also prepared by Reyna) and you have the recipe for a fun, sumptuous meal. A... More

Pan roasts are excellent, as are seafood salads and cioppino. Luckily, this restaurant has remained as it was, when John Ascuaga owned the casino, unlike some of the other restaurants.

The quality of the food and service make this one of the highlights of the "new" Nugget. Still the same as when it was John Asquaga's Nugget, this cornerstone fo the hotel is still worth the trip. Lazy Man's Cioppino, pan roasts, and other traditional dishes are still top notch.

There are so many seafood dishes to choose from. The best dish is Seafood Extravaganza. It's all types of seafood you ever want on one plate with a very reasonable price. A cup of delicious lobster bisque on the side makes your day! I recommend sitting by the bar/counter where the cooks are in action. You get to watch the... More

We had a delightful dinner at the Oyster Bar at the Nugget. The atmosphere was pleasant, very clubby-looking, and the seafood fresh and well-prepared.

Few people are familiar with this excellent restaurant hidden in the Northwest corner of the nugget. It has excellent service and food. We highly recommend the Salmon Scampi. The prices are fair.

My wife had clam chowder and a salad, I had the mixed seafood platter. They were excellent and both at a reasonable price. Service was slow and uninformed.
