Our waitress was friendly and we had a good time joking with her and she returned the joking . The food was delicious. All four of us had different entries. We had shrimp pan roast, lazy man's chippino, combination stew and pan seared pecan crusted salmon. Not one complaint.
Lunch or dinner at John's Oyster Bar feels like a visit with old friends. We sit at the counter and watch Reyna prepare a shrimp pan roast at the steam pan right in front of us. We had a delightful dinner at the Oyster Bar at the Nugget. The atmosphere was pleasant, very clubby-looking, and the seafood fresh and well-prepared.
My wife had clam chowder and a salad, I had the mixed seafood platter. They were excellent and both at a reasonable price. Service was slow and uninformed.
