I love their New York pan roast, shrimp, crab or combo, until I got allergic to shrimp. They also have have the best Tuna Salad sandwich in town.

The seafood chowder in a bread bowl was delicious. There were fairly large shrimp in the chowder as well as bay scallops, crab and clams. Plenty of each. It was slightly on the salty side but I don't use salt at all. The service was excellent.

I love this place. Used to eat here alot when I lived in Reno. The food is always fresh and good. I will continue to eat here when I am in town.

I understand there is a third owner running the Nugget now and they have dropped standards considerably. For starters, the old stand-by, true sourdough mini-loaves with a nice crunchy crust, are a thing of the past. Instead, you get 1/4 of a bland white bread loaf that has no resemblance to the old sourdough. I opted for crackers and butter... More

That,my friends, is a direct quote from our server. The excuse being "it has to come in that way". Kind of makes $27.95 seem a tad high for a Dungeness Crab Louie with 6 ounces of smelly, but tasteless crab. No complaints about the server, she comp'd my wife's salad and the chowder substitute she ordered, but, seriously, what is... More

The happy hour price is right, but the server kept misunderstanding our requests. The oysters were not loosened. She offered bread and brought each of us a half a loaf of sliced white bread - not typical sourdough or warm. Just bread on a plate. Sorry, didn't take a pic.

A very friendly staff and a wide assortment of choices make the oyster bar a great pick at the Nuggett. I had the crab stew and it was delicious and a great amount of crab besides. Definitely the place to go.

Went to have cioppino. Usually go for New Years Eve but could not wait. Again It was great as usual because it has no shells. The service is always great and the prices are reasonable. The place has not gone down like a couple of other spots. cant wait to go back in Oct.

I had the California Catch. Deep fried shrimp, scallops and cod. Absolutely the best I ever tasted. My wife had a tuna sandwich she said was average. Service could not be better.

The quality of food and the prices are great. The service is a puzzle. The staff seems unsupervised and lacking basic server skills..

Thank Bryan B
