There are all kinds of restaurants in this area to eat breakfast and Black Bear never disappoints when I want a good, filling breakfast. Our party had everything from oatmeal to eggs and everyone was satisfied. Always good service.

Black Bear Diner is a chain in the western US that strives for a "local diner" feel. I've eaten at their locations in Tulare and Gilroy, CA, as well as Sparks, NV, and all three meet that goal with friendly service and good comfort food. Portions are large so bring your appetite. On my most recent visit I had sausage... More

The service is excellent. Tammy and Taylor are so efficient as well as friendly. The food is delicious. If you want a terrific hamburger come to Black Bear. They give you huge serving that you could easily split. The price is very reasonable.

As always Black Bear Diner delivered great home style food at a reasonable price. I wish we could finally remember to split a meal as we never can eat all of the dinner at a Black Bear Diner. This is one of the most consistent chains for good quality food that we have found in the northwest.

The restaurant reminds me of a down to earth country eatery. The service was good. The portions are well sized. We split a burger and fries and portion was large. The burger was really thick and had a hard time fitting in mouth but was very tasty we shared a coconut cream pie and it was huge

Warm and friendly atmosphere, good food, huge serving sizes. Our party had taco salad (massive!) burgers (good) and fries (tons!). One of my dining companions described it as "Denny's on steroids". You know you're eating at a chain restaurant but it has more personality, nicer dishes and the food really was good. If you're looking for reasonably priced food that... More

Back Bear Diner has several restaurants around the Reno/ Sparks area. I've tried at least three locations and the food is consistently good. It's a little on the pricey side but the portions are large. I've eaten breakfast and lunch but not dinner. Both were very good and served hot. When they're busy (which is often) the service can be... More

This is the second Black Bear we've visited for breakfast (the first was in Madras Oregon) and it's a terrific diner style restaurant. Both time we had breakfast - huge platters of food so bring your appetite! I had the California eggs Benedict and Dan had ham and eggs. I think our favorite part was the steel cut hash browns....
