No frills, just big tasty breakfasts and lunches. I'd imagine diner as well. A true diner (you can tell by the really good meatloaf) but also the sandwiches, burgers and again especially the fulfilling breakfast are really good. No pinky in the air here, just good.

Very disappointed. I haven't been here in a long time and thought I would check it out again. When I arrived there was no employees to be seen. A lady leaving said she wanted to take out her food but no none had come to give her a container for that, so she said she was just going to take... More

Visited to Black Bear as soon as our family stepped of the plane at the Reno Airport. It was our first meal in the area, it was the best of the week! The menu is very big and there are lots to choose from. Their biscuits are gigantic and delicious.

I was in Reno on business and decided to try this diner. I am glad I did! It is a true diner with fantastic home cooking. The staff were so friendly and the service was spot on! The food was amazing and should be referred to as "comfort food." It was quiet but busy. It has a cute little gift... More

The food at Black Bear is always up to their high standards. It is always a good break from the casino crowds. Personal service from professional servers always a plus. Breakfast is my main meal there.

We ate here with friends & enjoyed the atmosphere, & the food. Servers were very informative & we shared an order because of the size of the orders. Lots of choice. Hhighly recommended. Not too expensive. would return.

We were very pleased!! Picked from trip advisor. More food than we could eat and was delicious. We are traveling from North Carolina and hate these are only out west.

Best Breakfast Anytime and Much More ID#: 424242937 Black Bear Diner is a friendly place with quirky newspaper style menus. The food portions are generous, fresh, and delicious. I had a huge fluffy omelette with mushrooms, peppers, onions, and cheese - - my favorite. The menu has options - I choose the red potatoes or you could have hash browns.... More

We both wanted to give this place five stars- it has the potential for that kind of rating. The atmosphere is comfortable and whimsical. The menu is large but not too large- and printed as a newspaper from years ago- a nice touch. The prices are reasonable. The portions are advertised as huge, and there's nothing false about it. I...
