Stopped for lunch on a Friday on our way east. We did not have a reservation, but were seated quickly. I ordered their delicious Hawaiian Salmon Salad special and ate with friends out on the patio. It was a little noisy from traffic, but still...a very nice oasis. Everyone in our group really enjoyed their meal, and The Stone House exceeded expectations in all areas. Friendly and helpful staff, and took appropriate Covid precautions. I would go back!More

Had Sunday 2:15 pm outdoor meal. Did not get acknowledged at first, took close to 10 minutes but got seated. The person in front of us (a pregnant young woman) was waiting for her partner and they would not seat her without her partner! (their...policy they said). Despite the weird beginning, wonderful atmosphere, lots of plants, umbrellas and private seating. Waiter was fun. Had oysters on the half shell, bloody mary's, duck salad and ahi salad, macadamia escargo, strawberry shortcake. Commented to them about the amount of flies and they said they would call the pest dude.More

If you are into an extremely rude hostess/owner and not sufficiently distanced, this is the place for you! The owner/hostess projects an attitude that she could care less if a customer arrives desiring to sit and eat. Don't feel bad if you call for information...and are hung up on before finishing the conversation; it happens. Loud traffic noise from the two streets is a definite distraction for outdoor dining. For some unknow reason, it seems to be the place to be seen in Reno, if you are into it.More

The restaurant practices good social distancing and proper disinfecting practices. We dined outside on the patio. The server was efficient and polite. The food was very good, delivered to the table quickly after order and warm.

I've tried Stone House a handful of times. I really want to like it but they apparently have a lot of 'off' days. My husband and I did a breakfast take out (due to covid we had to order ahead and eat outside) and I...was again disappointed. I had the French toast with bananas and a rum sauce. It was all one note and that was sweet. Overly sweet. I realize french toast is sweet, I prefer sweet breakfasts, but this was on another level of it that was way too much. The toast itself was also a little hard and chewy. My husband had the eggs Benedict and he enjoyed them but honestly he has never had a meal he didn't like. I will say that for being take out, the eggs looked to be cooked perfectly.More

Best breakfast I've ever had. Ever. Anywhere. Not only is the restaurant adorable in a converted old stone house, but the food is out of this world. I ordered the crab omelette (pictured) and it probably contained more actual crab than some seafood restaurants serve....Every bite was filled with crab, jack cheese and veggies. Of all the breakfasts I've had anywhere, from resorts to fine dining ect, this was hands down the best. go. wait for your table or sit at the bar and enjoy every bite. bonus: the omelette was on the menu for $15 and some change.More

My wife and I had lunch here recently. Great old house from the 1920’s. The lunch menu is quite creative. We has a crab salad and a San Diego sandwich. I loved the sandwich, Seared Tuna, crab salad, tomatoes, avocado. Great flavors. It was a...little spendy aRound $17. Service was good. The only complaint I have, it’s very noisy when crowded. Since it was an old house the rooms are small with low ceiling, so, the noise level. Not sure if anything can be done. We will return.More

It is a touch pricey but not over the top. I think the server would have been better if it wasn't so busy and my friends hadn't kept sending him back pending their order. It was quite loud inside and when I left, the place...was packed. I had a wedge salad as a warmup to my meal, it was the best ever by far. Had a steak sandwich (did not need steak sauce which indicates how good that was), and delicious french fries that I dipped in tartar sauce. Food was awesome!More

I have no idea, I've only had Sunday brunch there. However, I did have a WONDERFUL Bloody Mary.
