We were up in Reno and in need of dinner...something light and fulfilling while staying at the El Dorado. We were able to get into Sushi Sake before the crowds suddenly appeared. Our sushi chef was entertaining and skilled! The hamachi was fresh and the roll was fabulous. I know most people would have a sake but the cosmopolitan I had (okay...I lie...I had two) was beyond tasty. Dining has certainly taken some strange and different turns with COVID restrictions and mandates. With that being said, the hostess, chef, and staff made every effort to ensure that our experience was enjoyable. When we are back in Reno we plan to stay again at the El Dorado and enjoy sushi at Sushi Sake.

We came for a sushi dinner before an Aces game. The upstairs bar/restaurant at Greater Nevada Field was out of seafood as it was the last game of the season. I am a pescatarian so needless to say, I was disappointed.
We went by foot and started searching for a sushi restaurant after looking on Google.
We found Sushi Sake! Not only was the sushi wonderful but our waitress, Molly, really left quite a memorable impression! Great sushi, decent sake, and an amazing waitress! We’re going back tomorrow before the Hall & Oates concert. I hope we can get in Molly’s section again. What a sweet person with an awesome personality. Looking forward to their yummy sushi.

We ate here for the first time last week and my husband and I were impressed. The service was excellent and the food was wonderful! My husband is a chef and he said this was some of 5e best sushi he has ever tasted.

Being a sushi fanatic, it's hard to get overly excited about another All You Can Eat place, as they pretty much almost outnumber the McD's here. I've been to quite a few here and though they cannot be compared to Bay Area ala carte places, there are a few that stand out. Sushi Sake in the Eldorado Hotel is one.
The place is rather small, sitting outside Roxy's. There is a sizable bar we well as table seating. I would go for the bar for faster service as well as an opportunity to ask them to prepare something of their choosing. It also closes at 9pm, so keep that in mind if you are going to a show.
The nigiri and the rolls are sizable and uber fresh. Full list of appetizers as well. As stated, table service can bit hit or miss, so opt for the bar, even if you have to wait.

ate at this place while in Reno recently and was pleasantly surprised....the fish was fresh and came out relatively quickly...the service was fast...servers were very friendly and helpful...the place was clean..altho can be a bit noisy being a little close to the walkway..i'll stop again for sure!

Highly recommend this place located in front of La Strada. Not open every day, but we lucked out on a Sunday. Great food and good service. Prices very reasonable.

Generally, we don’t eat sushi in land locked restaurants. But, with Lake Tahoe close by, we gave this place a try. ??? It is a tradition to have dinner here once a year while attending a propane convention for the past couple of years. We’ve never been disappointed. First, it’s entertaining to sit at the bar and watch art being created out of raw fish. The sushi chefs are delightful to visit with. We start with the miso and edamame. I’m not a fan of hot sake because the smell reminds me of wet socks, but I must admit I loved tasting what my husband ordered...the house ‘table sake.’ We asked for the favorite rolls and were served the G-Spot and Mount Fugi. They both had similar ingredients and we liked both. Evidently, crystal shrimp is popular. Even if you don’t like raw fish, the menu is extensive enough to find something that’s cooked. There has never been a wait and the staff is efficient and friendly.

We enjoyed a wonderful all-you-can-eat dinner in a lively atmosphere of the promenade, while listening to live jazz music from the Roxis Martini bar "next door". It was a great experience.

We have walked past Sushi Sake at least a dozen times during our visits to Reno. This time we decided to stop for a snack. The service staff and chefs are all extremely personable. The food was great...so great we ate here two nights in a row. We went back for a third night, bit they were already closed. We will no longer just walk by Sushi Sake.... we are now fans!!

Enjoyed the sushi combo, veggie roll and Godzilla roll. And we are sushi snobs :-). Drinks were good and service was very friendly. Only downside is setting within a plaza in the El Dorado casino resort, meaning a bit loud and smokey. Would come again

They used to give out coupons for $2 off but no more. It is $28 and now just not worth it. The food is great and the staff is excellent but you can't eat enough to make it worth it. I loved it at $22 but won't go the extra bucks.

We ordered the edamames as an appetizer and it never came. We asked for it many times. After we finally finished eating our rolls, which really wasn't that good, we got them. Super slow service. Would not go there again.
