We visit family often in the Sparks area and make it a point to stop by the Atlantis to enjoy their Buffet. There are no other buffets in the area that has the variety that Atlantis has to offer. This does not disappoint, especially when family members have differing tastes that range from fried chicken to pho. The staff are very attentive and we try to request for "Tony's" area if he's around because he is always so welcoming and makes us feel like family. If you have a chance, visit their Buffet and while you're at it, try out their Spa. Another reason for me to visit again and hopefully soon!

1/8/21 We came to toucans because We were craving the seafood buffet, from the get-go the entire staff was amazing, we were running late for our 8:30 reservations and they were quick to respond via text, upon getting there we were greeted with friendly smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. We were a little skeptical at first because, Covid+Buffet, amirite!?! But we felt pretty safe with all the Covid safety protocols, they were quick to clean everything and served our food so that no other patrons were touching them. Great buffet selections too! But the “strawberry” on top was a certain little lady by the name of “Cecilia A” who worked that chocolate fountain like a boss. She was one of the sweetest staff members, you could tell she was smiling even behind her mask. She is a wonderful asset to the team and I hope she gets the recognition she deserves. :)

We ventured here during Covid. We made a reservation in advance— thank goodness we did! Man o man! That line was crazy! But we walked right up and were seated immediately! So make a reservation!!!!
They have servers behind the plexiglass
That will serve you the dishes you want. So that keeps the food safe, I guess. Masks must be worn if you’re not actively eating or drinking.
The food was great! I think we only had one thing and it was a desert that was less than desirable. Other than that, very yummy and we would recommend!

I used to live in Reno area until about ten years ago. So when I came back home and wanted to treat my man and son to a nice meal I took them to one of my old favorite places of the Atlantis Buffet. The prime rib steak was cold by the time I sat down to my table, my husband said that the ribs where cold and chewy, and the stuffed peppers where also barely warm inside. When we told the waitress, she did go get the manager, who then brought us a plate of the same food that she says came from the oven but still was not hot enough.
Fast forward to my 20 year old son arriving 25 mins later, and we did not say anything to him about the food till after he complained that they ruined the meat. He suffered through ribs that had more barbecue sauce then meat and said that they where cold, along with the steak as well. We told the waitress again who again got the manager. The manager says that she has talked to her chief and tested the temperature of the food. Again she brought my son warm ribs that cooled off fast! My son told me that the food sucked but because I paid he would just deal with it.
After our first servings, and feeling like we where brought warmed up food we didn’t even want to attempt to try the hot food again and skipped to dessert. The sugar free cheese cake was good, along with the ice cream, but when my son sat down to a chocolate cake ( his favorite) he pushed it away due to being so dry. He said it tasted like cardboard and at that point thanked me, but said he just could not suffer through the food any longer.
My husband said this is the worst 97.00 for 3 people for cold food, bad tasting meat, and that he would have preferred McDonald’s drive through because at least it would have been hot!
By the time we where done eating I can honestly say this was the absolute worst dinning experience EVER!!! I will never come back to any restaurant in this Casino, especially when I told the hostess crew how bad the experience was and was told, “Okay, Bye!”

My wife and I went there a couple of weeks ago for my 60th birthday. We were in high anticipation of the Saturday steak and seafood buffet. The steak was to be prime rib (it was choice, but most people can't tell) and bacon wrapped filet mignon. Well... the rib roast was fairly good, but not top of the field. The bacon-wrapped filet was so over cooked that it was grey and looked and tasted like a hockey puck (or what one might imagine a hockey puck would taste like). The snow crab was so salty that it was difficult to eat and it was a bit off in smell and taste. The Dungeness crab as all very small pieces, again, overly salty.
Went to get a bowl of ice cream for desert. It was not ice cream. It was ice milk. Lumpy, thin.... such as what one would receive from a cheap vendor on a boardwalk or at a state fair.
I will say, the waiter (Sunni), was on the spot with drink refills and service. He was very attentive.
Overall, I think people are going there, due to it being one of the few places still open as a buffet. We live in Carson City (about 40 minute drive away) and love the buffet at the Fandango, but they have been shut down since the whole COVID issue.
Well..at 42.99 per person, excluding tip, I was severely underwhelmed and my wife, she felt horribly about treating me at this restaurant, as she was severely disappointed. For $100 bucks with tip, we both agreed that we should have gone to Iiji, Korean BBQ on the west side of town.
The food was NOT good. Can't believe all of the positive reviews. Save your money and time.

I don't like the idea that you can get your own food and someone will put in your plate with a little amount then if you asked more the server will give you a nasty look. I'm not satisfied with that visit and not recommend to eat this place. They called it buffet but for me is not buffet anymore. And the price went up for 10$ and you never enjoyed the visit anymore.
I recommend have your guest get there own food but provide gloves and make sure they wearing mask maybe guest will enjoy more and visit that place more.

BAD, BAD, BAD... it used to be good but NOT anymore! We haven't been to this place for almost 2 years (covid and all). The last time was great. This time, we could have gone to a Golden Corral and gotten better AND spent a whole lot less!
They have to serve you now, fine, but there are not enough servers to handle the crowd, so lines are horrendously long, kinda stupid. They over serve everything no matter how much you ask for which wouldn't be a problem except they kept running out of more popular items faster, kinda dumb. So, they end up going back to get more and now NO servers, really dumb.
Then there was the prime rib which we could hardly cut through with their serrated steak knives cuz it was tough as leather. And nothing else was particularly interesting so what's the point in paying $60 for 2 people for a mediocre meal?
Did speak to the manager (Cynthia) about all of this and she said she'd get right on the serving problem BUT, never saw her go over and do that. Probably never going back there again... maybe another buffet in Reno, if there are any.

Holiday Inn Express Reno airport referred me to Toucan Charlie's Bar& Grille buffet. From the minute I stepped in line to pay the service was excellent. Sanjna helped me get my gaming card and senior discounts. Kimberly hostess was friendly and helpful. Khalin gave great table service. The buffet had at least 8 clean stations where the culinary staff fills your plates as requested. Dessert bar had many delicious choices. Food was plentiful and service was everything I expected.

The buffet is up and running again with dramatic changes. There attendants to guide you and answer questions as you walk the food line. Servers plate your food behind plexiglass as you point to your choices and hand you the plate. You have all the delicious choices you had before Covid lockdown. It's great to have it back in acction!

Great food, come hungry it’s pricey but the variety and freshness is worth it. Service is not bad but I think it varies amongst their staff. I frequent the place and have my favorites. Cynthia is amazing and always takes great care of me.

I have eaten at buffet starting august 5 2020 and last time august 19 2021.
that is 113 time I have eaten there. I am a expert eater there. haha the food is excellent and so may different kind of food and it is top quality food. the workers
are also so helpful so you have excellent eating experience. the waiter and
helper are so good at bring drinks and cleaning the tables. they work like machines getting the work done. most all know me and do back flips to get me what I need to have a excellent experience. those working with the food are always
moving and making new and replacing the food items. the managers treat me
like a buffet king. haha
so if you want somewhere to eat good food this is the place.
only one problem with there rewards system, it does not work. they have two percent back for using there card. I have spent almost $8.000.00 eating there
but they do not like to give you the 2% back. tom/ promotion said it does not
work well and you must check it out within three days. of course I always
had my card swiped but only received about 80 dollars. tom said
sorry sucker I want my bonus and the owner will be very happy.
Atlantis does not like to give anything for food eaters, maybe only
high rollers
so swipe your card and check it out.
but the buffet is so good GO.
I do need to lose 12 pounds. haha

In the last 2 months I've been to about 8 food buffets in Washington State, Las Vegas, and now Reno. To be fair all of them are good. The buffet at the Atlantis in Reno surpasses all of them. Clean, warm, staff inviting and the variety of food presentation stunning. You were not rushed, staff quick, constantly cleaning.
Management, line cooks, servers and cleaning crew and table staff should be proud.
Will be here 3 more days. Will see if there is consistency.
The dessert island is one to lose your diabetic cravings, the combinations, selection and variety is overwhelming. And baked very well.
The entrance is decieving, it has a huge seating area

There is a problem with this Establishment, people eating here have a tendency to eat too much! It is an amazing place and the spectrum of food from seafood, chinese, mexican... the choices are amazing and food is flavorful and service when needed is exceptional. If you haven't experienced this resturant, You need to! Warning: Don't go here, if you are not hungry! If you come away from here Hungry, that is not the resturants fault! I highly recommend this dining experience to all who visit Reno, Nevada.

Me and the family visited the buffet for my son’s birthday dinner. He turned four and our server Martin surprised him with a special birthday cake while the crew members sang happy birthday. The manager Cynthia was so friendly and accommodating, not to mention how delicious the food was! Will definitely be coming back here. They sure know how to make people feel special.

Our blackjack dealer told us of the great offer of half price on Mondays and assured us that the food was really good.We noticed that the line for the lunch buffet was long until 1:30 PM so we decided to try the dinner buffet (regularly $39.99 for $20 with a players card with a 55+ sticker). There was little to no line at dinner time. They have a very large selection of menu items and everything we had was good, except we were a little disappointed with the gelato. We really enjoy shrimp and we found it at several places (peel and eat, fried, with the pasta Alfredo, and offered in the Mongolian grill). There was a carving station with prime rib & ham, a Mexican station, an Asian station with Pho, tasty baked fish, macaroni and cheese, an extensive salad bar, and an extensive array of desserts (pies, brownies, gelato), and many other things… The server was quick to remove any dirty plates and refill any empty glasses.
