I last wrote a review on Roxy in December of 2017, and now that we have moved to Reno, this was our first time back. We went mid-week, without reservations, and we were able to be seated in a table that was not exactly the best for a quiet night out, in that it was out in the center of the room. Although our table was not the best, we didn't have to wait for it, and Sam, our server, and the great food more than made up for the location.
The sourdough and olive bread served before the meal was excellent, and set the tone for a very nice meal. We had the Verlasso salmon and petite filet, and both were cooked to perfection! The chef hit both out of the park. The sauces on both were delicious. And huge kudos to Sam who was serving a table of 10+ people behind us, as well as a couple of others around us, but he was attentive and provided the right amount of service. He answered questions and made us glad we had a table in his section.
Our location did provide a good view of some of the meal preparations, and one particular benefit was watching the chef make up some desserts that were greeted by the guests at the table with absolute delight. (They were some kind of dessert in glasses).
We are confident that The Roxy is a solid choice for a night out to impress, and again, thanks to Sam for providing outstanding service and making our evening just what we needed.

Wonderful experience! Roxy is our go to place whether it’s celebrating with our friends, as a couple on a well deserved date night, or a special occasion. Everyone is always friendly and welcoming and like we’re old friends coming to dinner. We are always treated with the utmost respect. The food is absolutely delicious. If there is anything we need such as gluten free, the chef is happy to oblige, making sure everything is to perfection. Beautiful wine selection with expert knowledge of each & perfect pairing suggestions with our meals. We love the ambiance as well. It’s nice to arrive a little early and sit out at the bar while listening to live music with a cocktail before we are seated. We Definitely recommend Roxy.

Good service - even though it was a busy night, our server was always stopping by. One of my sides wasn't to my liking so the server took it off our bill and also comp'd our dessert. Would recommend to anyone looking for an above average meal.

So my wife and I always look forward to eating here Albert the server is awesome great service we visit probably once a month and usually make it a point to stop by Roxy if Albert working plus food usually great. But this last week my wife and I came and food was nasty not even alright. We both order steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus and the steak was not good at all order medium well for both it was so bloody and than we sent it back and they just re heated steak and still pink in middle. Very disappointing and unsure of a return. I know it was packed due to New Years but still not right. And nothing was said no apology or anything.

We had a 1:30 reservation for brunch. I was excited to eat at the restaurant since I heard it was great.
I was very disappointed! Roxy should be ashamed for the food I was given.
When asked for bread, we were given a selection of 2 tiny croissants and Danish pastry.
I ordered a Beet salad with chicken. It was mostly lettuce, 3 small pieces of pickled onion no bigger than a quarter and 5 pieces of beets. The chicken was hard as a rock and super dry. I sent it back with the waiter since it must have been prepared a week ago. The small entree was over $25!
Additionally, upon arrival, our waiter did not tell us that some entrees were no longer available and put us on the spot to pick quickly for another option.
There was a selection of deserts at a buffet table but by the time we were able to go enjoy, there was the worst leftovers for us. ONE Petit Four and a mess of some chocolate covered cream puffs for another day. It was so disappointing!
Roxy should be ASHAMED of themselves for charging outrageous prices for bad food and lack of dessert.

Was in town for the weekend visiting relatives and dad dinner for 5 adults on Friday night, 2/10/23. I had researched this place in advance and based on other reviews expected a top notch experience, and really looking forward to dining here. However, that unfortunately was not the case. For the price charged, it was not worth it. Service was average at best (which was surprising given all the reviews on here raving about how great the service is), and the food was good but not great (I've had steaks at other places for 1/2 the cost that were better).
The restaurant was also very loud so it was hard to have a conversation. Also, was near a server station and overheard one male server loudly dropping multiple "F-bombs" and talking down to another female server - very unprofessional and inappropriate.
Not sure we would return to this restaurant.

I was in town on business. I decided to have dinner here for the first time. I ordered the wood grilled pork chop. It was not what I had hoped. The taste was bland and it seemed a bit under cooked. I could not finish it. While the service was good, the meal I had was not satisfying.

Our server was delightful, and had strong menu knowledge. The manager - such a charmer! And a sommelier to boot. The wine he recommended was perfect.
I do wish I’d been told the 8 oz lobster special would run me $93, but I understand seafood is high-priced now.
The menu was inventive and broad.
Overall we’ll definitely be back. A fovorite!

From start to finish the staff was amazing, the host was very professional and helpful with our seating, being greeted by the maître d’ with a great smile and offering us there special table side old fashioned cocktails was also awesome, all dinner selections where great, steaks mushrooms ravioli to the soufflé for desert all great choices. Waiter and even the bus boy/man was just very nice and accommodating to my whole family. Will be back soon and highly recommend a must do steak house when you visit or are in Reno Area at The El Dorado Casino.

My wife and I wanted a special evening out on our final day in Reno. Our waiter, Jeff Clark, was cordial and helpful with our meal selection and made the appropriate suggestions to round out our order. The manager (the other Jeff) brought our wine to the table and confirmed everything was up to our liking. Our steak and lobster was cooked to perfection and was delicious. The wait staff were always around to add water or remove plates without being too overbearing. All in all, an extremely pleasant evening experience we will remember for some time. Looking forward to our next visit to Reno & Roxy's.

I stoped by with my family and everyone had some thing negative to say. The calimary was chewy and rubbery. The potatoes where dry and had way to much aromatics on them. The steaks where not terrible but not up to the price In my opinion. The best part about the meal was the virgin strawberry dacory probably the best smoothie I have ever had. The worst part was price vs quality. If this was $100 dollar dinner it would be average but considering we played double that I cant justify a 3 star rateing. I do have to say our server was real nice so that's a plus.

We had baked lobster and crab cakes to start, then a wedge salad, all 3 were amazingly delicious and thought it couldn't get better then our filets came into and my husband's pork chops and we were stuffed it was perfectly cooked and amazingly delicious then my daughter got creme Brulee and me and my husband got the Cafe Diablo which we had no idea was served tableside and an amazing experience all prepared by the manager Jeff who is so friendly and always on the floor being seen checking on every aspect of the restaurant. Our server was Debra who I can't brag enough about. If you go definitely ask for her. And thank you Jeff and Debra for another wonderful experience. Everytime were in reno which is every other month Roxy is our first stop!!!

The food is generally okay but overpriced. Do NOT order the Ceasar Salad, the worst we've ever had. Basically, six pieces of lettuce, sprinkled with cheese, with a very small piece of Parmesan Toast that had a couple of very small anchovies on it. Two of those, plus two glasses of wine, came to $53.00. We will NOT be ordering that again!
However, Albert is the BEST WAITER EVER! He makes going there worthwhile. We always ask for him!

This review is long overdue and based on many fine dining experiences at Roxy. Roxy is one of the better, if not the best all around fine dining experiences in Reno!
My wife and I try to eat here at least once a month and have done so for many years. Not one time have we been disappointed with service, our meal, specialty drinks, wine, dessert, or service.
Jeff, Manager, and Tate, Assistant Manager, are attentive of any need which may arise with staff and patrons. They are sure to make a visit to your table and make sure your dining experience was exceptional.

From the m9ment we were introduced to our waiter we had the best time in a restaurant we could ever enjoy. Debra was efficient, enjoyable and understanding. She did all that we asked and then some. She is a wonderful addition to the restaurant and one that should be treasured by the establishment as we would really come back just to have her as aur server.
