The first time, I ordered flautas and a quesadilla for takeout. I wasn't given the total on the phone before we hung up. When I got there it was expensive but I figured it was my fault for not asking. I got home and saw that I had been given (and paid for) two orders of fajitas with the quesadilla,... More

For a down-home, friendly, authentic and reasonably priced Mexican meal, this is the place. Margaritas are primo!

Having lived outside the country for many years, it is always a treat to come back to the US and have good Mexican food. I had the normal cheese enchilada and taco, with rice and beans. The cheese was golden brown and crispy on top and the beans were delicious. Plenty of food was served, along with the customary chips... More

We moved here from California a year ago and found Los Compadres 6 months ago. The service is outstanding and the food is the best I have ever had. We now go back every 10 days or so.

My friends took me here on a recent visit to Reno. We went on a Friday night at 5:00; you have to get there early because it's really busy later. It was my first time eating there (after driving by it a million times). The atmosphere is very friendly and family oriented - a great neighborhood gathering spot! Great service,... More

We met for lunch on a Sunday at 12:30. The restaurant was very busy and only a few tables open. We were seated right away and drink orders taken. We ordered and received our food in about 10 - 15 min. I ordered a shredded beef taco and chicken enchilada. The taco was very full and the chicken filling in... More

The hostess walked ahead to leave menus on the table in silence. The waiter, J, was business all the way...very curt, no smile or chit chat of any kind. And finally when a different person came to get our check, she said nothing at all...not when she picked it up or returned it for signature. Not one word. We overheard... More

Found out about this going with friends. Wow! There was a long wait on a weekday and I can see why! The food was great. It came out reasonably quickly even as crowded as it was and we were a large group. They were very efficient and the food was amazing. Will definitely go back!

This place looks fancier from the outside than it is in the inside. I tried the arroz con pollo which wasn't bad. Of course they serve chips and salsa. The salsa was a little weak but OK overall. There's plenty of parking available. There's also a small bar if you want to just sit, eat, and watch some sports on... More
