Stuffy Atmosphere But Good Food

Hmmm. Its dark and woody-not the ambiance that I'd call uplifting, but it is what many might call 'high-end dining,' and they are known for their extensive wine list. I am not a wine drinker per se and could not find one I liked from the 3-4 tastes I sampled. Oh well. The food - most of the... read more

Don't shy away from visiting a restaurant in a casino. Sterlings food, quality and service is always outstanding. We have always enjoyed an excellent meal when we are in town. It's also great for special occasions. Be sure to make a reservation to avoid a wait.

This was a very important business meal. Had 12 other people with me. I was the host. Everyone ordered different appetizers, and meats. I person ordered a fish. We got a couple of side dishes at the recommendation of the waiter. Also, I recall the waiter advising us against ordering certain menu items (that is a great waiter). Everyone had... More

Sterling's serves above average steaks and classic steak house dishes in an upscale environment. The focus here is certainly on service. The two-person team is attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Several of the dishes are prepared table side and even when crowded the focus of the table side preparation is on your table, not the next group. Sterling's also... More

I have not had dinner here in nearly 20 years. But we do the champagne brunch about once every 3 months. It has the best buffet in Reno for Sunday brunch. It's pricier than the other buffets but there are some benefits: less people, less noisy children, fresh crab, really good food, and one amazing flute/sax player for ambiance. They... More

The serivce at Sterlings is top notch as is their wine list. My cowroker had the bone in Rib eye and he thought it was spectacular and very large(20 ounces I think). I however had the filet and it was rubbery, undercooked and no where close to the flavor or quality I owuld expect fro ma $50 steak. Sides were... More

Even though this is sort of a swanky restaurant, the service is always friendly and homey. The food is definitely top notch and the atmosphere is quiet and peaceful. You will have a great dinner here, and the Sunday brunch though pricey is extraordinary.

Outstanding culinary fare. Our party of five had diverse meals and each one was perfectly prepared and delicious. Expensive, but well worth the money. Exceptional, knowledgable service. Kitchen and restrooms well maintained.

Our Fourth time to this First Class restaurant. If you haven't tried it, you surely must. Service is on a par with Big Bad NYC. The biggest difference is the waiters in Reno are not phony and rude like many there, but low key and genuine. First class service again. Sterling's and Bistro Napa are our top 2 for superb... More
