Food was fantastic but really what made the service so memorable was Keith. Absolutely one of the greatest servers we have ever had the pleasure of dining with. He created a completely custom menu for us based on our preferences and every dish he brought out was perfection. We will definitely be back and will make sure its on a night Keith is working

Exceptional fine Italian dining - every dish we tried was perfection. Our server was Christopher, who was attentive, personable and professional. He topped off our romantic wedding anniversary dinner by serenading us in song, in Italian! We shall be back…often!

A dining experience of a lifetime! Do not pass up the opportunity to go here. Our waiter, Keith, had the best customer service skills I have ever been blessed with. His gift to know exactly what you need and when you need it, was out of this world. I have never had such an experience. He also gave us the history of the Reno area and the Caesar’s industry, as well as ensuring we knew where to stop in our day travels to Tahoe. He is what made the experience so perfect. The food was also exceptional. We tried the mushroom ravioli as an appetizer and the sauce was so creamy with the robust flavor of the mushroom. The bolognese sauce was delightful. Also, the limoncello and aperol spritz started our night out with a bang.

My entire family (normally 8 people) have been coming to La Strada for 30+ years. We always start the Great Italian Festival by dining here—over the years, it has been one of our favorite restaurants. It saddens me to post this review, but I feel like I need to do so. First, the garlic bread was cold and soggy. We pretty much left the entire basket there (this is really unusual because all of my family loves bread)!!! Next, we always start our meal with the calamari, but this time it was actually inedible. We told our server and she offered to refire another one, but we said we did not want one. Instead, we ordered the fried artichokes. Sadly, there were also terrible-they tasted burnt and unseasoned. Since we’ve always been fans of La Strada we didn’t want to complain again. I ordered the pappardelle bolognese…the pasta was not Al dente and there were drenched in way too much sauce. On a positive note, our server Esmeralda was fantastic (and our longtime server Jack came by to say “Hi” because he was working a special event) and the mushroom raviolis that my mom ordered were still quite good. After dinner, three out of the four of us had upset stomach issues. Because we wanted to make sure this was just an anomaly and not a trend, I went back to talk to a general manager the next night. Nicole came out and I explained our entire situation to her…that we’ve been coming here for 30 years and we have never had a bad meal. She seemed perturbed with my constructive criticism and kept repeating that she could call security to report our illnesses… She was almost to the point of being rude. I said I just wanted to make sure it wasn’t a continuing trend because we were going to eat there the following night… Her response was I understand if you want to cancel. She did not offer to make any type of amends or to offer any apologizes. Being a longtime customers, this did not sit very well with us. It was very disappointing…. And it saddened us. We sincerely hope our meal was an exception, and not the rule going forward. After my interaction with Nicole, it might be difficult to go back to a restaurant where we feel like we’re not welcomed….. I didn’t expect the manager to respond like she did.

Dined solo here at the bar. Bartender was a bit busy. Bar Back was brand new so not very productive. Given these, my comments on service is that it was ‘rough’ not polished and smooth. For example, when handing a spoon or knife to a guest use a napkin to present it to the customer. Do not give the knife to the customer by pointing the blade at them. Food was average. Broccoli soup was not very creamy but more watery. Tortellini Eldorado was not homemade and I would bet the peas used in it were frozen. Would I eat here again? It would be a second choice…

Not much good to say about this place anymore. Was pretty good a year or two back. Now it's pretty bad. The dishes we ordered were undercooked to the point of the pasta being between crunchy and chewy. The sausage tasted old and warmed up. The wine was great, since we brought it, but the $35 corkage fee was not. The service was decent, but not spectacular. When we first came in, we could not even tell if they were open as the entrance was unmanned and dark. I'd strongly recommend that you eat someplace else in Reno. Oh and the $15 valet charge, which used to be validated, no longer is.

Good Service, Below Average Food. Our party of five ordered steak (over cooked), risotto (poorly mixed cheese), gnocchi (potatoes were undercooked and the sauce had a burnt taste to it) and a bottle of wine. Collectively disappointed by the quality of the food and all unlikely to visit again.

The bread in their bread basket was good, but cold. We both had their famous mushroom ravioli to start, which didn’t disappoint. It was a huge portion; if I remember correctly, it was five large ravioli in a cream sauce. We were stuffed after that! I had a seafood risotto for my entree, which was delicious, but I had to take the leftovers with me. My husband had the black cod; although it wasn’t described as such, it was very spicy. He enjoyed it, but did not get what he was expecting. Their tiramisu is delicious! We had two very attentive wait staff.

As always this la strada amazes us. Went as part of our valentines day weekend getaway and we are always happy with going here. I had the seafood linguini and she had the scallop risotto. Food was absolutely amazing. The white wine sauce on my linguini was so delicious and would have slurped it out of the bowl if it was at home. Our waiter Keith was very personable and attentive. We love this restaurant.

My family has been dining at La Strada for probably around 15 years now and have always enjoyed excellent food, ambiance, and service. It is our restaurant of choice for birthdays, anniversaries, and just generally whenever we want to enjoy Italian food and a nice night out. My family’s menu favorites are osso buco, seafood linguini, veal parmigiana, mushroom ravioli, fettuccine alfredo, and pappardelle bolognese (which my father always orders as a side no matter how much other food we have). Whenever we come we always request Keith, our wonderful waiter. He is extremely attentive and truly goes the extra mile to make everyone at the table feel comfortable and super entertained! I have such fond memories of going to La Strada ever since I was a little kid, and now that I’m going away for college in the Fall, it’s somewhere I’ll genuinely miss. Highly recommend, and if you do visit, be sure to say hi to Keith!

The restaurant is very attractive and offers a good selection of different seating choices. The service is friendly, professional, and attentive : ) The menu offers a good selection of choices and the prices are good/fair for a nice restaurant. The fish I had was perfectly cooked. The dish was creative and very well balanced. The textures and flavors played well together. A very appetizing presentation as well. It was an excellent dining experience. Would be great for a date night.

Our waiter Keith has a special way of making every meal such a special experience; practically each dish we enjoyed tonight (from appetizers to dessert) was by his recommendation. Keith is a wonderful listener, very attentive to the specific preferences of every member of our party. Thus, it makes sense that every dish was a knockout! The pasta dishes were absolutely delicious! Under Kieth’s care, we never felt we were being neglected, but rather like treasured guests. We should also mention Christopher’s fantastic singing talents! Similarly warm and attentive, Christopher’s golden voice had every table in awe. What a wonderful dining experience!

Let me start off with the positive: great customer service by the check in staff and wait staff: friendly, professional, and attentive. The ambiance/music playing was atrocious. If you're into stereotyped "I"talian music that's really hokey and very stereotypical Italian, then good. I was tired of hearing the line "That's amore" for the 100th time during my one hour stay. Now onto the food: underwhelming Buttered Bread: Good, the only positive of the food. Charred Octopus: It definitely was charred/overcooked. Caesar Salad: That was messed up. Had a sour taste. It screwed up a Caesar salad. Mushroom Ravioli: Overrated and very bland (according to it's La Strada's website: This dish, named by Food Network’s 2019 list of the "Best Pastas in the Country," is a favorite at La Strada. Don't stop there, there's so much more on the menu to experience). Risotto & Scallops for $40: 3 under cooked scallops with underwhelming risotto. If you want to get ripped off for what's supposed to be a fine dining experience and have your taste buds and stomach not feeling great, then come to La Starda.

No matter the number of times I have been to La Strada, I am never disappointed by their consistently delicious, perfectly cooked food. Some of the items my family will regularly order here include the veal parmesan, the seafood linguine, the mushroom ravioli, and the fettuccine alfredo. Knowing these options are so good makes it hard to deviate sometimes, but all their menu items are probably the best Italian food available in the state. (Their complimentary bread is also fantastic!) The service here is also excellent. In particular, I have to highlight our waiter Keith, who always goes above and beyond to make our dining experience feel incredibly special. He is attentive, dependable, and a charming conversationalist! He also always has the best recommendations for what to order. My family has a good time whenever he is waiting our table.
