Came here on the Sunday after Valentines Day based on a recommendation and Trip Advisor rating. This is one of if not the fanciest options in Reno. Table side service for some items is nice. We opted for the special with scallops, a prawn and a filet mignonette with crab risotto and asparagus. Photo below. We started with the abalone appetizer and finished with a cafe diablo and cheesecake. Our review: service here is formal. Don’t expect overly chatty staff, but our server was very good on advising on the menu. We liked that. We were disappointed with the wines by the glass offerings, we expected more depth there. Expect to pay over $20 per glass for decent wine. Just a lack luster selection. The cafe diablo was prepared table side and was quite a special treat! The cheesecake was good but not spectacular. The main portion of the meal was served hot and prepared exactly as we ordered. We paid about $400 with tip for two people so be prepared as this is a fine dining experience and the prices and service reflect it.

Excellent steakhouse

We have dined here three times. The atmosphere is plush and elegant and the service is superb. We have never been disappointed with our meal here. We particularly enjoy the tender and generous prime rib but the filet is mignon excellent as well. The appetizers, salads and deserts are high quality. This restaurant is not inexpensive but we always feel that our money has been well spent. We look forward to our next meal at the Atlantis Steakhouse.

Perfect Anniversary Meal

My wife & I planned a meal here for our anniversary. We are both steak lovers, both like Reno, & wanted a special place to celebrate. The Atlantis Steakhouse did not disappoint. Larry & Hannah assisted us all evening and they were excellent. Just the right amount of attention, speed, rapport, and pleasantness that immediately relaxed us. We were able to make on-line reservations for the night we wanted. Due to the current pandemic, they are adhering to all safety protocols & there is clear signage that face coverings are required for all guests. You can take them off when you are actively eating/drinking, but otherwise on. This made me feel even better about being out during this time (this is the second sit down meal we’ve had since Feb 2020). Menu is straight forward & available on-line to review. I chose to have a 12oz Filet & my wife had a special of a 6oz Filet, crab stuff artichoke, & wild rice. Both entrees came with a choice of soup or salad. We both chose the salad. The plating was remarkable. They used two long cucumber slices to create the bowl for the salad to go into, ringed by the dressing. Never seen anything like that. If the salad was the preview, then the main did not disappoint. Both entrees were exquisite. My filet came with sautéed mushrooms, garlic, and a dollop of whipped potatoes. My steak was cooked to perfection (medium rare). You could taste the perfect amount of seasoning they used for the crust/sear. The mushrooms complemented the steak and the garlic/mashed potatoes were refreshing. We had let them know that it was our anniversary and we were surprised by a complimentary Baked Alaska. The combo of the rum, meringue, and Neapolitan gelato was pleasant. We had also wanted to try their 321 Below Zero ice cream & it was amazing. It’s heavy cream blended with liquid nitrogen table side. The ice cream was a raspberry flavor and the creamiest, smoothest ice cream either of us have ever had. After desert, we were each given two truffles and a bag of coffee cake for the next morning (which paired great with a medium roast coffee). This restaurant is one of the best we have ever dined in. They take their craft seriously & it shows. All places should aspire to reach their level.

Table For Two. A gastronomical journey to Xanadu! The mystery is to determine how this restaurant manages to consistently offer a world class dining experience enabled by a world class service staff and still provide the familiarity and warmth one would expect with family! A table for two was the only request made when my wife reserved an evening for us at the Atlantis Steak House. It was Christmas evening, and we were looking forward to finally taking a break from the busy holiday and relaxing over a dinner, even if we would be a bit rushed through the typical ‘Holiday Crush’ one reasonably expects at this time. I can not express how pleased we were with our choice to dine at the Steak House at the Atlantis Casino in Reno! The evening began the moment we were warmly greeted by the hostess and then escorted to our table in the “Cove”, a large but still surprisingly intimate room off the main dining area. The atmosphere was very welcoming, the room fresh and lit perfectly for comfort. The staff immediately began to tend to our every need or request, from taking the drink order and placing freshly baked bread on the table to individually introducing themselves to us, a welcome touch anymore when dining out. Our server, a young woman named Elaina, gave us our menus and wine/drink list, and provided us with suggestions to suit our preferences as well as presenting us with several “Specials” for the evening’s offerings. Never making us feeling rushed but at the same time making us feel as if we were royalty seems to be Elaina’s forte, not to mention the exemplary service given to us by each member of the support staff. Regardless of your particular dietary preferences, the menu for the Steak House is so varied that any palate will be more than pleased, and if by chance you have any trace of your meal remaining after your indulgence, it will be nicely boxed so it may be taken home! And it’s better to take something of your meal home, so as to allow room for any of the dessert choices that are available. It is a credit to the management of this restaurant to see it so smoothly run, and a credit to the staff for making it a pleasure to enjoy fine dining and not just a meal. A special thanks to Elaina for the warm and outstanding experience she graced us with, and though I’ve forgotten the names of those who helped, they each deserve kudos for their attentiveness and smiles. We will return!

First Steakhouse Experience = Delightful

There is so much to say here, I'll try to keep it short. Firstly, make a reservation ahead of time regardless of the day of the week, this will make it quick and easy to be seated upon arrival. Secondly, expect to stay about 1.5-2 hours to complete the experience and really enjoy the food. Upon sitting, our drink order was taken (for those under-21 they had a delicious Raspberry Sparkling drink) and we were promptly served different breads and rolls to enjoy. I ordered pork belly lollipops (appetizer) and the peppered bison meal while my girlfriend ordered the lamb chops. I am not holding back when I say I have never eaten something as good as those pork belly lollipops. They were absolutely scrumptious. The bison and the lamb chops were good for the most part while the corresponding mashed potatoes and vegetables were so-so but we came for the experience and ordered without worrying about prices and that made it one of the most fun dinner experiences I've had. To finish off the meal we were surprised with a plate of gelato and cream lit on fire by the waiter, alongside white chocolate truffles and a slice of coffee cake to take with us. Overall, amazing, if you can afford to not think too much about the steep prices.

Last minute dinner

We came to the Atlantis steakhouse by chance. We ended up not making reservations for a busy Saturday night, as we decided at the last minute to spend time at the Atlantis Casino Resort with our out of town guests. Ali the Maitre’d was very accommodating and offered us a table without hesitation. Ariana was our server and Alex cleaned our table promptly throughout our evening . Both Ariana and Alex were very warm, welcoming and attentive, which we appreciated very much. Our wine was paired perfectly with our meals by the Sommelier Christian. I highly recommend to speak with him if you like wine. He is fun and witty and very knowledgeable. We loved the experience he gave us pairing our food and wine. My husband and I have been to the Atlantis steakhouse before and have known of the great service they provide but our out of town guests couldn’t believe the remarkable service we were provided. The attention to detail each person took with us and the food presentation we couldn’t be happier with our evening. We will forever continue to return.

Fabulous service, excellent food and overall great dining experience.

Wife and I visited the Atlantis Steakhouse this past Friday evening, June 18, 2021. I was genuinely and happily shocked as to the level of service and quality of food. First, our wait staff team of Larry and Hannah were beyond pro's, simply excellent servers. Not overbearing but at the same time appeased any request with a smile, including packing up to go's and adding what we need to go to mimic the actual dinner. The food, scrumptious. I had the Prime Rib and again, pleasantly shocked as to the quality. My wife had the Chilean Sea Bass with Miso Glaze. I cant over sell how good the food was. Both dinners came with soup or salad and accompanied by a side, all included in the reasonable price. To top it off, Larry and Hannah provided two full pieces, packed, of homemade coffee cake for the morning after, a complete shock as this is the first time a restaurant provided such goods completely outside the context of what we were eating for dinner, for the next day. And yes, the coffee cake was delicious as well. If you are in Reno, do yourself a favor, have dinner at the Atlantis Steakhouse, and though i am sure the entire wait staff is excellent, it would be your lucky day if you sat in Larry and Hannah's station.

Tremendous service with a personal touch

I was in town and staying at the Atlantis resort for a conference, my first time in Reno. After a day of eating from conference buffets I was not very hungry, so I asked if the chef could prepare a simple plate of grilled vegetables. Not a problem, the staff was happy to comply! Rey, Alex, and Alondra were phenomenal, attentive, and very tolerant of my questions about living in Reno. All three women are models of service and hospitality and I do hope the restaurant can reward the way in which they represent the business.

Highly recommend the Atlantis steakhouse!

Dinner here was absolutely wonderful! We had the pleasure of being hosted by Karissa and Bradley. Both were very knowledgeable with their menu and recommended very tasteful pairing. We started with some pork belly lollipops, moved to a decadent white wine pairing with the special,ended with the rich and creamy creme brûlée. We came to celebrate my husband and son’s birthday, so when Karissa brought out a complementary baked Alaska it was such a nice touch. I am definitely coming back for the delicious food and hospitality! Highly recommend the Atlantis Steakhouse!

Worst steakhouse experience

Worst steakhouse experience we have ever had and we have eaten in steakhouses from coast to coast. I can honestly say the only part of the meal we enjoyed was the wine and my daughter liked the shrimp scampi. We spent over $400 on a meal that we left mostly on that table, or sent back. One caveat, we discovered, we asked for the manager it was a wine dinner. They may have been to busy to bother cooking for the steakhouse, which is what I was told about the manager. We began with appetizers. Pork belly, so overcooked you could not humanly gnaw through, we had to just send back. Oysters, several of which barely had meat. Scallops wrapped in bacon were also overcooked but if you cut in small pieces could be eaten. The filet mug on was the best of the appetizers. Next couse we got the Caesar for four. They should have called it lettuce slathered in Dijon mustard. Two of us took a few bites and just fold our silver. My whole mouth was so puckered, I think I finished my whole glass of wine. Now came over an hour wait. I think our $95 steak was sitting and waiting the whole hour too. When it came an hour later it was as dry as rawhide. You could not chew it at all. The sides, fries, Mac and cheese, and spinach were fine. My daughter liked the shrimp scampi. However, I will tell you the Jj Prum wine was wonderful. Kudos to the hubby for picking that.

Memorable Evening for Special Occasion

We have dined at many of the steakhouses in Reno and tonight was a special occasion as we were celebrating two birthdays as two couples. Our server Forest and back waiter Daniel (from Brazil) were fantastic. Our party all work in the hospitality industry in the Bay Area. With that being said, we are well versed in all things food, wine and hospitality and know what a great dining experience should look and feel like. We were warmly greeted, welcomed and introduced to the dinner menu. We then ordered cocktails and made our wine selection (loved the Santenay) while we continued to look over the menu. The whole dining experience was at a cadence that met our needs and wants despite the fact that we were one of the last tables of the night. They treated us the same as if we had been the first table and that REALLY impressed us because we know what it’s like when you’re tired after a long shift and just want to go home. We loved our cocktails our from the bar-all top notch (my Sidecar was delicious!) All of our needs were met without having to ask (waters filled, napkins refolded when we left the table silverware markings and wine service all taken care of before our courses arrived. Our compliments go to the Chef as well, because our dinner was fantastic. We loved the Berkshire pork belly appetizer, the shrimp cocktail and the Bison entree. The Steak Diane along with a bananas foster dessert were prepared table side for a special added touch. The quality of the food is great as well. We felt most definitely attended to and well taken care of. Overall, if you’re going out to splurge on dinner in Reno for a special occasion, birthday or couples night out, this is the place to be. It may be a touch more expensive than the other steakhouses in Reno, but the care and thought that goes into the quality of food, its preparation and the service has far surpassed any other place we have dined at in Reno. Many thanks to all, but especially, Forest and Daniel who made this a memorable dining experience for us.

Amazing Seamless Service

I had dinner last Thursday at the Atlantis Steakhouse and it was wonderful. The service provided by Karissa was flawless and Bradley was always there at just the right time. I was in the hospitality business for 30 years coming up through food and beverage to managing hotels. I was especially impressed with the total professionalism that Karissa provided to me and my coworker from initial greeting, her knowledge of the menu, evening specials, and excellent timing throughout. I also want to compliment the culinary team. The flavor profiles on every dish were always inspiring and surprising with the different textures, the blending of flavors with every course. Thank you for a truly exceptional dining experience.

The Pinnacle of Dining

Last night my fiance took me to the Atlantis Steakhouse, our first time dining there. I would like to take the time to mention a few parts of our experience. The decor/lighting and ambient music were very well thought out and leveled perfectly. We were seated in a booth where a card announced that the booth was reserved for me. Our servers were Ariana and Braden; They made us feel very comfortable and treated us like family. They each had a genuine sense of humor and cared not only for our first time experience, but for the other guests as well. The Prime Rib and Steak Diane served tableside were exceptionally flavorful and presented perfectly - an incredible presentation put on by Captain Samuel. The surprise Spumoni ice cream cake, along with the NY Cheesecake and Creme Brulee were perfect. (I would return JUST for the cheesecake and espresso)! It was my birthday yesterday. We've dined in Steakhouses in Las Vegas, New York, and California. This was the best dining experience I've ever had in any steakhouse by far.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Waited 2 hours for our food and it was COLD. The mac and cheese was DRY from sitting under the headlamp and a steak was cold. Despite me telling our sever that we no longer wanted to eat at the restaurant, we continued to wait another hour. The bill was over $325. Worst steakhouse experience I've ever had. Meanwhile, other tables around us were served and left before our meals ever came to our table.
