I must start this by saying Las Vegas has some amazing food places. The iron skillet is not one of them. This place is great because it is the only sit down place with decent food for miles. Not a 5 star restaurant but will definitely hit the spot. Also eat anything but the steak totally not worth it.

Instead of the buffet, I decided to have the post roast dinner, which I have had many times, at many different TA/Petro locations, over the past few years. Big mistake, this time around. The biscuit was a brick, dry as a bone. The mashed potatoes were cold, though the gravy on them was piping hot. Over half of my "pot... More

During my travels, I tend to always stop at Petro Truck Stops because of their cleanliness, good food, bathrooms and., as a single woman who travels, a safe place to hang out! There is always a good selection on the buffet with reasonable prices, and the regular menu is good as well. Service has been good, and the staff friendly... More

Good variety of dishes on the menu ,plus buffet. Great service and food. The main dining area is old style Diner. There are spotlessly clean toilets also showers and laundry facilities. It is at a Truck Stop but a really family friendly Restaurant.

On the way out of Las Vegas, I stopped for food and fuel. The Iron Skillet buffet really looked good. By themselves, tater tots aren't all that much. I'm not sure what was in it, but the sauce and cheese that were added to the normally bland tater tots made them amazingly delicious.

Buffets are difficult to make massive quantities and keep it fresh, they do a GREAT job. The soups were excellent. The navy bean soups was ALmost as good As mine. If you are on the road through vegas you should stop and give it a try.

Stop for gas and lunch on our trip home from Northern Nevada. This is the second visit and the food was good and the service was friendly. This is very convenient as it is right off I-15 away from the congestion of LV proper. It is at the Petro Truck Stop right by the Raceway on the north side of... More

Growing up, my father always told me that the best food would be found where truckers eat. The Iron Skillet Restaurant lives up to Dad's prediction. A small group stopped for breakfast about 11am on a Sunday. We all chose the breakfast buffet. And it was a great choice! I'm very picky about my scrambled eggs - if they're not... More
