On a winters evening we rocked on up here and enjoyed the absolute best meal. We had the buffalo stew as a main, cheese for dessert, and enjoyed a crème brûlée to finish. Service was great, the food came quickly and the fire was kept...stoked. This was a very enjoyable night.More

I was disappointed with the quality of my meal and very disappointed with the time it took to serve we had to ask for bread which arrived hard, plus not all that is pictured on the menu is available unless you request it whilst reserving...you booking, for instance, the Cheeseburger need to be prepared in advance? this I found strange. I guess we chose a bad night as even my coffee was cold, my wife did enjoy her meal, but as for value it was average I was not impressed as expected better, I eat out and travel a lot and give credit where it is due not this time.More

Very good food, modern tasteful decor, excellent friendly service. This place has come on leaps and bounds over the last few years moving from just serving Buffalo as it has so many of them to now a varied delicious menu and great wines. The chef...is excellent and the owners very accommodating. Not the cheapest but happy to pay a little more for a wonderful experience and exceptional food. The burger is a local favorite.More

Just outside Aignan on a hilltop overlooking the countryside with the outline of the Pyrenees in the distance makes for a beautiful setting. Very friendly service with wonderful food. The menu is limited to 3 main courses (when we visited in Aug 2019), Buffalo Steak,...Buffalo Stew and Buffalo Burger but we visited twice during our one week holiday as the food was so good. The menu also includes delicious starters and desserts and I was very impressed with the simple starter of Tomato, Onion, Buffalo Cheese and Balsamic vinegar, simple but the buffalo mozzarella was just delicious. Very tastefully decorated inside with an outside seating area too. This restuarant is highly recommended. If you are in the area treat yourself to something a little different but great and you wont regret it.More

This is different but don’t go if you are vegetarian! Set menu only - so 3 courses which is a lot to eat. 3 choices for each course - v buffalo focused but done well. We all had mozzarella/tomato to start - delicious but massive....Not made at this farm but another buffalo farm. Never tasted mozzarella like this before - v creamy and soft. Buffalo steak was delicious and very tender although hit and miss as to who got rare / medium etc I had lemon meringue for desert - v good It is a beautiful setting with the Pyrenees as a backdrop. Service was not very attentive but v friendly. Presentation v good. We sat outside on the terrace but the restaurant is beautifully decorated inside. Meal expensive for the region but a great treat and something different. Watch out - they like adding supplements to the set price which pushes up the cost. We also did the buffalo safari in the afternoon which was really interesting and great fun but it is only in french so you won’t understand much if you don’t speak the local language!More

We are lucky enough to have bought a house in this region . We have been here a few times .There isn't much choice on the menu as it is a specialised restaurant for buffalo , everything you get is cooked to perfection .The service...has always been 10 out of ten Its really worth a visit . Its lovely to see the buffalo roaming around, it has amazing views .More

My mother (resident in Gascony for +30 years) my son & myself had lunch here today. Our first visit - but it wont be the last! The food was exceptional - we had the E22 menu and it was amazing value. A plate of charcuterie,...followed by Buffalo a choice of 3 ways (son had the burger, Mum the steak and me the Daube) all gorgeous and then a dessert choice (we had lemon meringue pie, chocolate fondant and ice cream including pruneaux d'Armagnac flavour). It was all delicious. Mum had her dog with us so we sat on the terrace, which gave us a lovely view and a bit of a breeze. The people there were lovely and looked after us very well. Very highly recommended.More

A farm restaurant that serves its own produce - buffalo Lovely venue - nice style - air con would be a benefit in the summer months as inside the restaurant at lunchtime was sticky with no air movement The food was lovely - 4 choice...of entre and main - all buffalo - the mozzarella was stunning - my wife described it as savoury ice cream Great host - mid range price - entre and main 22 euros Quiet at lunchtime in summer due heat - no booked my needed Willl go back one eveningMore

The restaurant/ farm is near Aignan on top of a hill with fantastic views with the Pyrenees as a backdrop. We had a dinner here to sample the water buffaloes. We had some canapes and kir to start whilst enjoying the stunning views. The starter...was cauliflower veolute with lemon that was fantastic. Bread like everywhere in rural France is to die for, amazing. Than the buffalo stake arrived. A humongous piece of meet, that was possibly similar to a rump steak, cooked medium rare. The flavour was ok, but it was so gristly and chewy that I could not finish it. What a pity! I may have just gotten a tougher slice. Pudding was lemon meringue pie and chocolate fondant with vanilla sauce. The service was really nice and helpful.More

I was recommended this by my hostess at Le Bernussan B & B near Demu (which incidentally is very special). La ferme aux Buffles is a farm restaurant serving buffalo products from the Farm. The buffalo steak was soooo tasty, the starter exceptional and the...apple tart with Armagnac to die for. I was there on a music night which added to the atmosphere. Well worth a visit and very different from the rather plain local restaurants.More

We sat having an aperitif on the decking, stunning view of the local countryside and snow capped Pyrenees in the distance. Then the goats and the donkey entered the paddock in front to entertain. Inside for food. Nicely done, contemporary and relaxing. The food choice...is simple, set meal 20 euros (10 for kids): a steak, a burger or a daub. All looked and tasted great. Good starter and choice of desserts. Really enjoyed it. Wine is separate. Owner is s delight. Despite the ' tour' of the buffalo being advertised for children. He was more than enthusiastic to take 2 adults on his tractor to meet the herd. Fantastic beasts brought over from India. In addition he has a pet sanglier and some wallabies. Good food, great position, loved the animals. Good luck to the (I assume couple) and their new ferme and restaurant.More

If you like to enjoy good meat with an amazing view, delicious local wine and in a great setting, then this is one of the best restaurants around. Pretty much only serves the buffalo that they raise themselves (you can see the herd in the...fields as you arrive) and it is absolutely delicious. Vegetarians, however, may be rather out of luck.... Could not recommend more highly!More

Upon my last visit at La Ferme aux Buffles, I experienced both the buffalo tour as well as dining at the restaurant and must admit that I truthfully enjoyed both of those entertainments.I recommend this place to anyone swinging by!
