I was with a group--less than 6, if you're worried about Covid ;-). One group member suggested we go to "Ichiza". Ichiza is an "izakaya"--a type of informal Japanese bar that serves alcoholic drinks and snacks. (In this case, they also serve full meals, as...well.) Izakayas are casual places for after-work drinking, similar to Irish pubs, Spanish tapas bars, and American saloons and taverns. (Their business card states that they are open for dinner, 7 days a week, from 5:00pm to 1:00am.) It is located on the second floor, within an off Strip shopping center. This was my first time there, and here are my first impressions: I don't know if business was slow because it was mid-week, but the slower tempo did make it easier for staff to seat guests in a way that maintained physical distancing. Offering a zip lock bag to each customer, so that we could keep our masks clean while we ate our meals, was a nice touch. Our server offered us paper (single use) menus, as well as laminated menus. Each of these menus had different food items listed. But don't forget to look at the "specials" posted on the wall--which might not be listed on the menu(s). *So many choices* This really was a nice place to hang out with a group of friends, drink beer and graze on small bites. As part of a group, we ordered a wide variety of dishes. Each of the items ordered was really tasty, and well presented. At the end of our visit, we divided the total bill equally among us. Per person, considering how much food and drink we consumed, the price was really quite reasonable. This restaurant does take reservations, but they ask that you do so at least 2 hours before your requested time.More

I was there Monday Evening with a Group of 10+, we were her the year before also in december, so second time in this place. This is authenthic food and super delicious, we ordered vairous dishes, hot and cold, also sashimi. the quality of the...grilled meat (chicken, beef) and fish including octopus was fantastic. Also the Sashimi was great, not to forget the desert - alaways rake the honey bread. The damage including beverages was very modest, since we shared we came out at less than 50$ per person. The staff there was very friendly and supportive. For sure i will come back.More

Actually referred by a friend that must go this Ichiza when visit Vegas. I would say maybe we don't know to how to order. We have 4 people so we ordered a $68 combo set dinner. This meal with so many dishes but I feel...disappointed about the food. It's below average :(More

The food is SOOOOO good!! Everything we ordered was delicious. Service is great and since we went on a week night, it wasn't busy. We were seated right away. It didn't get busy until we were close to leaving and that was after 7pm. They...had so many specials on boards around the restaurant. THEY DO NOT HAVE HAPPY HOUR but that's ok because the prices are comparable to other places that offer "happy hour" pricing. The only thing about this place is the parking isn't that great. I drive a truck and the spaces are quite tight.. and there aren't that many, especially when it's a busy night. Good luck trying to find a spot. So go on a "not peak" day/night and enjoy the food... You'll definitely consider coming back!!More

I've been to Ichiza 3 times and the restaurant has become my "go-to" places with my friends for Japanese Izakaya experience. Not only the dishes delicious, their prices are affordable (reasonable). They have table seating, counter seating as well as "ozashiki" tatami seating with a...dug-out under the table so your legs doesn't get uncomfortable with cramps, etc. You must remove your shoes which is normal when you're seated at a "ozashiki" table. Service is good, wait staffs are attentive & friendly, atmosphere is typical of any Izakaya restaurant which tends to get loud when the restaurant is crowded and booze starts flowing. So if you're looking for a quiet night out with your date, this is not the place to go, however it might be a great 2nd date night place. Overall a great place for family, friends, after business day gathering.More

Like classic Japanese watering holes, this spot is very authentic to that image. It’s been a staple of the Vegas Chinatown for years. It has an extensive number of classic Japanese bar foods - always in shareable portions. It also has a reasonably priced drink...menu. Stop by for a good time with a group of friends.More

This place was recommended by a friend from Japan. I was pleasantly surprised!! The shashimi was fantastic!!! Fresh fish and not a ton of fish so it’s good quality and they are picky. Go for specials menu and shashimi sampler. Amazing
