Staff was very friendly and the food was authentic. Had been to Germany several times and this place was very close to what one can get in Germany. Would have liked a little more of various fruits in the stollen, but overall is was good...enough. Besides baked goods and breads, there are meats and non-perishable items for sale in the store.More

First time visit late morning. Ordered several pieces of pastry which were satisfactory. One of the pastries was on the dry side and the others were not extraordinary. I will give it another try because all the reviews are good and while there a regular...customer raved about them. It may have just been an off day for me as I would love to find a great bakery. We had anticipated a sit down coffee/pastry snack, but no tables were available. Coffee was available, but in a carafe so did not know how fresh and hot it might be. There were other canned/bottled product available for purchase.More

You know that joyous feeling when your dish at a pot-luck is the very first to be empty? Bought 24 stick pretzels at the German Bread Bakery and made some hot beer/cheese dip. People were scraping the bottom of the crock pot for the last...of the cheese to go with the yummy pretzels. Stick pretzels were large enough for a brat, so I had to cut them up. Each pretzel was $1.10 Drop the Mic!More

So good, and it tastes like the bread I grew up eating.... Even if you are gluten free, the prolonged fermentation of their dark rye, the leavening process, allows you to eat it and digest it with no problems. The ingredients: wheat flour, malted barley...flour, roasted malt flour, organic rye flour, natural rye sourdough, fresh yeast, sea salt. Regardless, (I am not gluten free, so that is not a care of mine) this bread makes everything taste better... Grab a pretzel or a bears claw or a croissant type pasty filled with marzipan (sweet, but not to sweet, almond paste), too.....More

Another trip, another visit to this bakery for the rumballs. These remain a delicious bargain though once again the price has increased. The current price being $1.40, but well worth it.

There is a rumor circulating that I fly 2-3 times per year from CT to Las Vegas just for rumballs? It is not true, but on arrival one of my few priorities is to make my way to the bakery's door for rumballs. At a...mere $1.20, it is probably the best deal you are going to find in Las Vegas.More

Though we invariably visit this bakery on each trip for the delicious rumballs, there are so many other tempting desserts. This time in addition to 4 rumballs, we picked up a slice of Mandarin orange cake. Fearing it might go stale :), we enjoyed the...slice shortly after returning to our room. It was good, but the cake was on the dry side for our tastes.More

Decided to try this for something unique and based on other reviews. Plus I am a sweetaholic!!!! We tried the nut corner, cinnamon roll with raisins, pig ear, cheese danish and bear claw. All delicious! It was great to have something in the hotel room...to munch on for breakfast and ease into the day. Definitely would go back! Did not try the rum balls because I don't care a thing about rum. Everything looked delicious though!More

We've lived in Germany for many years, and everyone knows the German are famous for their rolls. Typical breakfast in Germany is getting fresh rolls from the bakery with some sort of German sausage (wurst) to top it off. The pretzel rolls made here by...Jean are even better than those made in Germany! We love them! The Bienenstich pastry is also very good. Most of the pastries are not sickening sweet as the American cakes. Highly recommend.More
