Last year, my editor and I dined a Lawry's in Las Vegas. It was, without a doubt, the best prime rib I have ever enjoyed. The bad news is, I will never be satisfied with anything less. The establishment is decorated in classic Art Deco style, and the service is something straight out of the Gilded Age. We both ordered... More

I wasn't quite sure where to go but, I knew I didn't want to eat at one of the hotel resorts. I asked a security guard and he recommended Lawry's. I always like to ask the locals. I'm glad he told me about this place because it is off the charts on flavor and service. They have the spinning salad... More

This isn't our first trip here and it won't be the last. I know that there are a heap of choices when in Vegas, especially for steaks, but it you want a great meal and fantastic service (thank you Brooke) this is absolutely the best place. It's only a couple of blocks off of the strip, straight back from the... More

We went for Christmas Eve, and could not have chosen better. It was packed, yes, but everywhere would have been,The salad is all presentation, not all that great, the bread was amazing, the appetizers were very good, But just like it should have been, the main course was the star, Best Prime Rib Ever, so tender, the sides...WOW. Was it... More

I start by stating that I am a fan of Lawry's, having visited their restaurants in Dallas and Chicago. And I love a good prime rib done the old fashioned way, especially on the rare side. This is an elegant and fancy restaurant, which means that it is also an expensive one, especially if your are going to have drinks... More

I love the prime rib here. While it does vary from time to time, I like a more well done cut, and will cut off the fat for a perfect meal. We went early before the big dinner rush, and had a fantastic meal before 7, I love the sides, even though I cannot finish them. The prime is the... More

The prime rib was good, but not worth the cost, especially considering the butcher they had trying to serve the prime rib. It was our first and it will be our last time to visit Lawry's for the money they charge you should walk away with nothing but great things to say about the food and staff.

Visited our favorite prime rib place in the country for a holiday season meal. Service was excellent, carolers were a very nice touch and my wife was extremely pleased with her meal. I expect to leave Lawry's very satisfied and very full. However, I did not...my prime rib had far too much fat and was smaller than I remember the... More

In November, it's time to start watching for dates of Lawry's "Christmas Dinner Theatre," as "A Christmas Carol" is presented by a well-costumed troupe of about 10 actors in a theater in the round style. Tables of 8 or 10 sell out quickly. The food is Lawry's best: the spinning salad, prime rib, great mashed potatoes, bread and Yorkshire pudding... More
