I had just finished a hike at the Red Rock Canyon and was day dreaming of Indian food. It was too late for a buffet or was it. And surprise, the Rio casino has a buffet that is open until 4:00 pm. They have a...reasonable selection of food but not very many vegetarian items. Also plenty of condiments and desserts. The service is great. And the staff brings a hot naan to the table. The cost with tax is about $22. Not too bad. Yes, I would go back again.More

Food was okay at this buffet place. They could increase the variety of Indian foods in the buffet. Staff were friendly.

My partner and I ate here for a quick bite before seeing Penn & Teller (as this restaurant is in the Rio). I wish we had more time because the restaurant was beautiful! I ordered an Indian beer called Taj Mahal which was really good....Also pretty large for only $12. We had some somosas which were tasty. Friendly service. Lots of vegan options for a main dish but we didn’t get a chance to try at this visit.More

I want to be very clear that the quality of the food is superb, the naan is a triumph, the service is stupendous, the restaurant is alluring, ultraclean and elegant, but the buffet is simply too microscopic by Vegas standards to be in this city!...THREE chicken selections. FOUR vegetable selections. THAT'S IT? You will find much larger Indian buffets in any small city in the USA. This is Vegas, the town that excess built, and you are providing me SEVEN hot buffet selections (plus a pathetic little cold food table with sauces, custard and fruit barely 6 feet long)? The Carnival World Buffet in the same casino offers over THREE HUNDRED and you give me SEVEN? This is a joke, right?More

Not bad, but not great lunch buffet. Tge garlic naan is really good, might be worth trying for dinner, but the lunch buffet didn't have enough options.

We haven’t been here in a while and found that not much has changed. The curries were quite good and well-spiced. The pakoras were very good as were the samosas. The service was good but it seemed we had to hurry them up in trying...to make the comedy club.More

We came here for dinner before the Penn & Teller show. We wanted something a bit different to the standard casino hotel fare. The place was VERY quite at 6 30 pm, which came as a surprise. It slowly part-filled as we had our meal,...but not as much as I would have expected. I'm from the UK, have worked in India, so have a fair idea of what makes a good Indian meal. This was definitely one of the best. I like spicy; my wife is not so keen. we had a mixed Tandoori starter, after the Poppadoms. The chutneys, relishes, poppadoms and the shared Tandoori starter were all excellent. I had a Jalfrezi while my wife had butter chicken. we had paratas rather than rice, although the mains came with rice! It was all excellent, although my wife said her butter chicken was spicy, even though we'd advised of her mild preference. The decor is good and the booth we had was very comfortable. I would go again, when in town.More

We were at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas to see the Penn & Teller show. We arrived early to have dinner first, and Indian food sounded good. We arrived rather early on a Monday night and didn't see many other people there, which worried...me a little. Nevertheless, I ordered the chicken tikka masala and my friend ordered the Rogan Josh (lamb curry). They first brought us a basket of crispy toasty things with two dipping sauces. They were delicious. Went really well with cold beer. Our entrees came and both were served with rice and garlic naan (extra) but absolutely yummy. The ambiance and serving staff were very nice too. And by the time we left the room had filled up with people. The meal was a little pricey, but it's Vegas, baby!More

Quiet as all Indian restaurants are, Brian was helpful a great server. Ambiance was clean and attractive. This was my second experience with Royal and it was great both times. Will definitely go back again when I'm back in town.

We went on Spec before a show. The restaurant is well fitted our with a nice atmosphere. It was very quiet which was surprising for a busy Saturday night. The servers were efficient and helpful but lacked knowledge and training. I come from an area...well know for Indian cuisine so I can be a bit discerning. It was nice to see popadums that were grilled and not fried but the starters which were onion badji and samosas were stodgy and over cooked. The mains were much better. The chicken tikka masala, the saag paneer and the chana were all very acceptable and the rice was perfectly cooked. They do not do japati but this was not really a problem. On the whole the Meal was acceptable and was good value and I would got back if I was in the vicinity but in a city full of great restaurants I would not make it a regular haunt.More

Stopped in here in June while playing poker during the WSOP. I asked if they took Caesars rewards credits on my TR Visa card, they assured me they did. Ended up charging cash on my card... Had the buffet. Poor at best. Very few items...on the buffet. Essentially, it was a buffet consisting of rice, a lentil soup, some naan bread, and 4 entrees, 2 of which were vegan. The chicken entree was a large steamtable pan full of sauce and about 5 pieces of chicken in it. Another entree was the same, with four shrimp in it after fishing around with the serving spoon for a couple minutes. Total? Around $54. What a joke. Do not waste your time and money here.More

Enjoyed surf & turf platter. Friends like mixed drinks including Bollywood strawberry. Chai needed 2 sugars. Great butter chicken! Good garlic naan and Rogan Josh also tasty. Enjoyed our meal.

I fancied something different from my diet of burgers and pizza so dropped in here on spec before going to a show at the Rio. Wished I'd not bothered. Ordered onion bhaji starter. Half a dozen bhalis arrived served on a plate. Just that. No...presentation, no bits of salad just these plonked down in front of us, no offer of chutney or other sundries. I ordered lamb Rogan josh. Was delivered to the table within minutes. Something tells me this wasn't prepared fresh, no way could the chef throw together this meal in such a short time! No way worth the money. Staff disinterested, food below average, presentation poor, a waste of my good money.More
