This was our 1st visit and definitely not our last. This place is fantastic! The filet and lobster is gigantic and everything tasted amazing. We came for my mom's birthday and we have found our new special occasion spot!

Old Vegas atmosphere, where the rat pack hung out. But, I can't blame them the food was excellent, the booths are tufted leather with pictures of stars who've been there. The service is wonderful.

My group selected the Golden Steer over other steak houses in the city because of its history and reputation. I felt the service and setting was good, but the food did not live up to expectations. We were seated in a leather corner booth ("Frank Sinatra's booth," the plaque read). It was nice. The low lighting and clubby atmosphere suited... More

Billed as the oldest steakhouse in Las Vegas, they have their old-school act together. The wait staff are pros and the food is excellent. But the biggest attraction to me was to sit in the booth that Frank Sinatra sat in with the Rat Pack. Don't forget to check out the case of items in the front part of the... More

Located in a strip mall or what looks to be a strip mall you'd think this is some cheesy play on Vegas; however, not so!! The food was cooked to perfection and the table side flair adds to what you'd expect from Vegas. The only reason I did not rate this 5 stars is that the wait staff, while competent... More

Paid $80 for filet and King legs...dry dry and no flavor! Would never go back.. Inside was clean and older decor...buffet would probably be better

I'd never heard of the Golden Steer, which I can't believe given the amount of times I go to Vegas for business each year. I found it literally going through reviews here on TripAdvisor -- thanks for that TripAdvisor! I had no idea what I was in for but wow, what an amazing experience! It doesn't look like much from... This was my first time to Vegas. My friend booked a table at this restaurant based on Trip Advisor reviews. It was fantastic! The atmosphere and food were really good. Old school Vegas and better than some of the places you find on the Strip. Prices were high but that's true with most places in Vegas. We sat at the... More

The atmosphere is amazing...and the service was even better. Had the Caesar salad, creamed spinach, and the 12 oz filet. LOVED the steak. Very delicious. The Caesar salad rocked too. So-so on the creamed spinach. It was a little runny and tastes sweeter than I expected. (A little salt went a long way). Not a lot of wine by the... More

Atmosphere at this restaurant is spectacular. Lovely vintage feel. It is easy to get to this restaurant. It is a quick walk from SLS monorail station or from the Stratosphere hotel. It is rather unassuming in the outside, but that matter not in my opinion. I had a Caesar salad prepared table side. What I like is you can control... More
