Food excellent. Service excellent. Decor.... well... that's the only downfall. The 1980s faux brick and crappy carpet could really get updated. However.... Our server was great and so was the sommelier. They both new their stuff. Food was excellent and LOTS of it. Totally pricey,...More

We enjoyed our dining experience from the minute we entered (roses for the women), until the last presentation (an elegant platter of chocolate dipped fruit). There were all the favorite meat selections of a traditional steakhouse with a few twists here and there. The rack...More

Second time here on different visits, and both times have been absolutely top drawer!! It is a bit like going back in time to the days of chivalry and class. Service, food, drink, ambience - all first class. Will always be first on my list...More

We've been going to Hugo's for years. The atmosphere is elegant with character. The food has always been great; this trip, we had scallops (cooked to perfection with a great sauce), filet, Veal Oscar, and the prime rib. The salads are large portions with your...More

Save room for the Bananas Foster! The menus options and atmosphere are superb! The wait staff were attentive and quick with our party of 10. We closed the night restaurant down even. Everyone was wonderful.

Group of 15 unfortunately split across 2 tables. Salad to start was great and fun 'ordering' on the fly. Steaks were solid. A good selection but not the best we've ever had. The biggest disappointment was the service for drinks. We waited a long time...More

Food was awesome and service was excellent. We had four different people servicing us between drinks, food, plate cleanup and dessert. Bar makes tasty and strong drinks.

I would call the restaurant. Their service is exemplary so I can't imagine why they wouldn't be able to avail birthday celebrations. Call ahead, let them know you are coming here for your birthday, dine early so the staff... More

No there is not a dress code. The waiters dress in tuxedos, but the patrons dress in everything from shorts and tee shirts to coats and ties. The atmosphere is dark and very comfortable.
