My husband has been coming to this place since the 80's! We've raised our kids on their breakfast on the weekends! Best breakfast and late-night food we KNOW! Spent many late nights fueled by chicken fingers and their pot pie! Haven't done much since covid...but followed them on Facebook and seriously rooted for them since I come from restaurants! We are die-hard Lakes locals. Tell EVERYBODY about this place. Good food and a scratch kitchen! Today at about 3:30 pm that all changed! Walked in for a small drink and the curly-haired bartender girl had an attitude from the get-go. We know the gambling thing, so I opted for the farthest corner away from EVERYONE and even offered to gamble if she could pull money off my card (I had no cash!). It went downhill from there. She said NO CELL PHONE...even tho I didn't see any signage posted. I said OK and then just listened to the call... didn't make a sound. She came over and said I wasn't listening to her, and she literally took what looked like a stick, swooped my glass/ cleared my drink from the bar top, and told me to get out! And said she was calling the cops?!?!?! Never in my 45 years have I had the cops called on me...lol! Had a few choice words after all the threatening (FROM HER), and then some BIG guy comes out from the back and says he doesn't know what happened "before," but whatever "HIS" bartender said goes. He laughed when I told him my husband had been going there for 30 YEARS!!!!! Like I don't know what was going on in her world, but I get the gaming thing...we would NEVER take a gaming spot as locals. Then some OBVIOUSLY regular drunk chimed in, and she let him get into the fight. Like WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWO What has this world come to? I did call her a name on the way out, but at that point, she nor the "GENERAL MANAGER" wanted to hear our side of what happened. I work with the city and in hospitality, and NEVER in my almost 30 years of serving the public have I ever had someone clear a drink from the bar to get someone out of there; you would think we were fighting or something. This girl and GM are NOT normal. I urge the owner to review the camera. She screamed, "YOU ARE NOT GAMBLERS!!!!" we told her that from the beginning we were not gaming but we WOULD but only had a credit card...she served us anyway...oh well, the world has gone crazy! I am certain this is not an isolated incident, so let's see if this review helps anyone...More

I am very disappointed the way I was treated after being a 25 year customer the manager is by far the worst business person I have ever met they served me some fish that was not just old but not cooked all the way it...was like eating beef jerky I took one bite and knew something wasn't right the manager said sorry about that we had some bad fish but I guess we missed some not only did I get deathly sick I was told not to come back I was not welcomed this was not the first time myself or a friend that was with me got sick one night three of us got the same response from the blue cheese salud dressing the Manager was actually yelling at the top of his lungs when I called to complain when the previous Manager "Lee" was there they never had these kind of problems its one thing to have something go wrong just own it don't make excuses and Don't yell at your customers especially when he is twice your size you might end up flat on your back!More

This review is for my boyfriend. When we lived around the corner we went EVERY FREAKING FRIDAY for prime rib night. If you like prime rib, this is your place. They cook it perfectly (he is a medium rare guy), and it comes with all...the fix'ns, for $16! Not a small piece of meat either. My mom and a couple of our friends RAVE about the rib special, I think on mondays. They do fall off the bone...and if all else fails get the fish basket, it is so tasty. The service is great too, they really hustle!More

We had breakfast that was very good and reasonably priced and went back for a late lunch. Both meals were very tasty and will definitely put this on my list of favorites

The first time I was there, three years ago, it was a vibrant little local hangout where you could get really good food at great prices, and gamble next door in the bar area if you wanted. This time around, the food was extremely disappointing...and all three of us felt sick after we ate there. I won't go so far as to say that we had food poisoning, but I won't eat there again. Apparently they've been sold, and maybe that has something to do with the price increase and the decrease in quality of the food, but I'd avoid it for now. It makes me sad, as these local hideouts are gems when you find them, but it's not good now.More

We ate here several times and enjoyed virtually all our meals including the Cobb Salad, great Fish & Chips, Chicken Pot Pie, French Onion Soup and the Fish Tacos; the only dish that wasn't that good was the Calamari. Good wine and beer offerings.

So many choices and great specials on many days. Everything is really good here and prices are fair. Nice atmosphere and they covered the window showing the bar....good idea!

This is a neighborhood restaurant in a strip mall. We got seated quickly. We made it before the rush. Happy hour was going on. My friend ordered a Burger and she said it was great . I ordered chicken. I didn't care for it. The...server was efficient but not friendly. I don't know if I would go backMore

Small, dark and comfortable. The good food and low prices are what make this place. The star of the show is battered fish and chips and the same battered fish in fish tacos. I'm on a constant search for good fish and chips and these...are the best I've found in Las Vegas. The price is $9.99 for a very large serving. I've never managed to finish off the entire plate, although I once ate all three pieces of fish but then had to leave most of the chips. The well-stuffed fish tacos are served with Mexican slaw ($5.99) and one order is more than enough for one normal person or two polite ones. Lakes Lounge also has a full menu of salads, sandwiches and hamburgers, plus a value-priced daily special. The restaurant gets very busy on Friday and Saturday evenings because the special those days is prime rib ($14.99). No reservations. It's a very tasty, very large meal. I particularly enjoy the Wednesday pot roast special ($7.99), which you can order with great garlic sautéed green beans, instead of the market vegetables listed on the menu. Speaking of the menu, Lakes Lounge maintains a great website with the full menu displayed. There's a lengthy daily happy hour (3 -7pm) in the dining room, but not the attached bar/video poker den, serving among other things, $2.50 pints of draft beer from the Ellis Island casino/brewery, located just east of the Strip. It's one of my family's go-to places when out-of-town friends come to town.More

You can get a good meal here no matter what time of day. We came in for breakfast for a party of 8 and were seated almost immediately. The service crew is always excellent. The food is always good and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere...is very relaxing as well. This is a combination pub/bar so you can also order alcoholic drinks. This is my go-to for breakfast.More

We needed a place to eat and randomly found this place. Quiet, clean, friendly. Fed four people for just under $40. Try the biscuits & gravy.

Can’t beat it for a quick and cheap bite to eat. I’ve had the fried chicken basket and the steak n eggs on a few occasions. Can’t beat the price and it usually comes out quick. Also a good place to catch a game. The...one draw back is that it is typically very Smokey on the bar side. The restaurant is separate from the bar area and isn’t smokey at all. Good food. Good service. Two thumbs up for a cheap local bite to eatMore

We have been 'regulars' at the Lakes Lounge Restaurant for years now because the food is consistently great - especially the daily specials (e.g. Friday and Saturday are Prime Rib nights, Sunday is roast turkey, Monday is Baby Back Ribs etc.) You get a LOT...for your money IF you get there early enough!!! The daily specials start at 2 p.m. (I thought that it started at 5 but after missing out a few times we checked and 2 p.m. IS the specials hour) The problem is that people are lined up for the specials and the waitstaff is obviously busy, Busy, BUSY and even though it is a small place we got overlooked again on Prime Rib night. We were seated quickly and pleasantly but our waitress never came to our table...even after two requests to the busboy. Is The Lakes Lounge still worth every penny = YES. Just make sure that you find out who your waitress is and get her attention or you will miss out as we did!!!More

My wife and I were renting in the area. I had done some research on-line for restaurants and found the Lakes, we walked about 12 minutes and were very happy, the special that day was turkey dinner, fantastic, lots of food and very tasty. Service...was good and the price, we thought was wonderful. We later went into the lounge area and had some wine, the bartender was very friendly, really enjoyed our night at the Lakes. In fact, we actually went back the next night also. I would recommend a little after 6:00, seems like between 5 and 6 very busy.More
