Celebrating a birthday and dinner crossed into late night happy hour at 10 PM...good times... Kyara Service & Ambiance: Kyara is traditionally decorated in a cool Izakaya house style and this provides for a pleasant dining area. Our servers were fantastic with the service and...checking back on us. This turned into a 2+ hour session of drinking, eating, catching up and celebrating. The Kyara staff were great. I sampled so many dishes through the night, here's what I remember.... Takoyaki - prepped perfectly and flavorful. Very good Mini-Udon - fresh noodles, great broth and the perfect size to keep sampling other dishes. Cheese Corn - my go to Izakaya side dish and I enjoyed Kyara's Tempura - Shrimp and veggie tempura were on point Salmon bowl - Fresh and served with rice Kurobata Sausage - served on onions and this was the first time I've had this dish. Savory and a great dish to pair with sake and beers Chicken & Beef Skewers and dishes - We ordered so many that I lost track of the names, but all were lovely and delish. Can't go wrong here. Mackerel - Yummy, fresh and tasty. The Izakaya menu here is extensive. There's so many great dishes to sample and the sake and drink specials after 10 PM are fantastic. I wish they had more seating as timing will be everything for visits here. They are popular for a reason and I'll be back to explore more grindage. Arigato!More

When I find an 'Off Strip" dining establishment in my general neighborhood, I am pleased This attractive little Japanese 'bistro" was just the spot for a great business lunch. My dining partner was a regular and suggested it. The fare was lite, yet filling and...extremely flavorful. The Bento Boxes and traditional chicken/ rice dishes were well prepared. My meal was a tad slow arriving and I was alerted that it was not to be much longer, Yet about 15 minutes for a standard lunch dish raised concern, however was excused. I will absolutely return again. It's nice to have a dinner quality meal at lunch - especially for busy business people. Located in SW Las Vegas on South Jones it was easy to get to and plenty of free parking, too.More

Great restaurant. It is located in a strip mall. Relatively recent construction. Interior modeled after traditional sushi bar with screens off dining areas. We sat at the Sushi bar. Sushi chef was friendly and enthusiastic about the Golden Knights. We ordered Saki. Our server was...Asian and understood English well. She was very efficient and friendly. I ordered a popper as server recommendation and sushi roll. Food was outstanding especially the recommended poppers. Server was very good in guiding us through the menu and the meal was served in a timely manner. Absolutely no complaints. Highly recommended!’More

We chose from the lunch menu and the servings are most ample. What impressed me most was the freshness of the fish. Also, the number of Japanese customers is a clear indication of authenticity.

Kyara is always our go to for date night. I swear the food at this place is THE BOMB! I’ve yet to receive a dish that has not pleased me. For all my tourist, if your tired of paying for over priced food with terrible...service, then I definitely recommend you Uber or Lyft to Kyara Japanese Tapas. This place might be a little away from the strip but once you try their salted Pork Belly your gonna be wanting more.. “You down with Pork Belly! Yeah you know me!” 😂 🐷 In all, Kyara truly is a gem and I strongly commend for everyone that enjoys Japanese Tapas to check this place out...More

There is such a variety in the menu of this place, and absolutely all of them are so delicious that I can only think of trying them all. The place is out in the middle of nowhere and you need to take a long taxi...ride to get there. But once you're there you don't want to leave. The staff is very welcoming and very attentive. The chef does know his job (I used a better word but got censored). There was not a single dish that I tried (and I tried a fair bit) that disappointed me. Try them all.More

My first time experiencing Japanese tapas. Food was very good. The place was a bit small but the skewers they offered was scrumptious. We called for the sampler skewers and some sides. Their drinks were also impressive. Would definitely go again

Decided to hit up Kyara Japanese Tapas for lunch today, close to work and always good food. We were delighted to find they had reasonably priced lunch specials. I had only been here before for dinner. My colleagues ordered the sushi and sashimi specials and...I chose the Lisa Lisa roll and some salmon nigiri. If the Lisa Lisa sounds familiar to those of you who live in Las Vegas, it's because Kyara is a sister property of Naked Fish's on Durango. The specials came out quickly which included a salad, soup, shrimp and veggie tempura and a bowl of rice. The nigiri variety and sashimi came out after a bit and my colleagues both said they would definitely come back again. The Lisa Lisa was good. Shrimp tempura with avocado and cream cheese topped with crunch and eel sauce. The salmon nigiri was fresh and tasted good with the hidden dab of wasabi under it. To sum up, was a good meal had by all and we will be back. Arigatōgozaimashita, TotemoMore
