We had family staying at the Encore Suites. We are local and wanted to have lich with them at the Wazuzu. I wanted soup. Could not find but basic broth with vegetables. I was shocked the soup was watery no taste what so ever. Yes...and the price was rediculous. Their good dishes were so small in portion especially the meet/protein portions. I felt sick after having the soup. Did not enjoy it at all.More

We were very satisfied with the food and reasonable pricing (ie: for Wynn Las Vegas). The waitress was a little pushy, kept asking if we were ready to order but once we were ready she was helpful with our selections. Food came out quickly and...we enjoyed all the dishes except one of the appetizers. Overall very satisfied with our selection of food and this restaurant.More

I picked this place because of the good reviews. I wanted to take my adult kids somewhere nice for Lunar New Year, and the Drunken Noodles were nationally rated. We were excited to try it. Long story short, the service was really bad, our waiter...Marvin was inattentive, slow, and disinterested; my Mai Tai tasted like vinegar on the rocks and I had to send it back (which I never do); the Drunken Noodles and Crispy Beef were both bland and unappetizing. This place is very expensive but the quality is way below that of an average shopping center Chinese restaurant. I feel like a chump for blowing my money at Wazuzu. NOT recommended.More

Whilst the Encore seems to be in decline, the same can't be said for Wazuzu which is as good as ever. The food is tremendous, I love the causal dining experience and the staff are great.

I’m giving this a 3 because the sushi rolls were just ok. Nothing spectacular. The potstickers that we had for an appetizer were very good.

Went for lunch on a Friday. We were the first persons in the restaurant at 11:30 they opened and ordered immediately. We ordered the Spicy Chicken Stir fry and Drunken Noodle. The Noodles came out in about 20 Minutes with a side of rice, but...the runner didn’t bring the Stir fry dish. I asked the runner, our server and a manger at least two time each. NOTHING!!!! Finally the chicken dish shows up 20 minutes after the first other dishes. Long after the noodles were cold! All I got was an explanation that the chef put our dish in the wrong tray. No apologies- nothing. Worst service I’ve had in years!!!More

Went after someone specifically recommended the Thai crepe dessert, in addition to anything else you might order as a meal - and they were right! Started with the dragon roll, which was excellent, then had the shrimp drunken noodles. As with most other places, it's...pricey, but at least you walk away feeling HAPPY! 6 large shrimp in the noodles, which really were to die for. That Thai crepe is lovely - and the crepe is much more substantial than you would expect from a crepe. Trying it all as a single person, I could only eat half the noodles and crepe. And still happy! Service is excellent. View is out into the casino.More

Though I’d eaten here 3 or 4 times, it’s been about a yr since my last review of this tucked away hidden jewel. Wazuzu is a sort of casual but overall fantastic Asian eatery located off the casino floor of The Wynn Encore Resort. The...decor is bit upscale or even overdone for a casual place, but hey, it’s Wynn Las Vegas. The colors are bold red and soft cream; as is most of Wynn resort. And of course there’s a mural on the wall, in this case, a magnificent 27’ crystal dragon showcasing the entire rear wall of the restaurant. The menu ventures all over Asia, with a nod to mostly China. There’s seriously something here for most any appetite: From sushi to noodles, and from Thai curries to general Chinese entrees. I went the simple route: A spicy Tom yum goong soup, and for an entree, a simple but tasty Mongolian Beef. The soup is bold and spicy with flavors from abroad, including a touch of cilantro and some thin mushrooms. The Mongolian Beef was, as usual, simply the best version I’ve sampled. The more I’ve ordered this dish here, the more I appreciate the tenderness of the beef, the freshness of the vegetables, and the minimal sauce applied. Many versions I’ve tried elsewhere, have been quite a bit too sweet, and too gooey: Not here; And that’s a good thing. Of course rice is a la carte; but again, it’s Vegas these days: So nothing is included. All n all the food gets a 5. Service was really good, as it has been in the past. Nothing is too overly thought out or pretentious here; but this is a casual place, so it’s not really suppose to be. Everything was brought out in a timely manner, and piping hot. One note: The beer here needs to be timed perfectly when ordering to assure it’ll be served cold( generally speaking, not the coldest beer I’ve tried). I told my server to bring it out with the food, so it wouldn’t get warm: It was decently cool, but not as cold as I’d like. Maybe it’s an Asian thing, or something else, but it seems most Asian restaurants I’ve been to, rarely serve beer as cold as we like it in America. But anyways, just a note…. Overall: I’ve eaten here 7 times in the past 2 yrs with great results. And yes, I absolutely positively, and very highly recommend giving Wazuzu a go; especially if you’re looking to grab some tasty Chinese or Asian at a reasonable price(well, for Vegas!). For acmore upscale setting, yes there’s Wing Lei: Buy then there’s Wing Lei’s pricing, and dress code; which have their place, but not everyday. In other words, you could eat Wazuzu on the fly, or as a sit down place, and not feel; well, out of place. Note: They do not take reservations, and the wait gets lengthy in the evenings and especially on the weekends, so plan to arrive earlier in the day. You can get on the wait list once you arrive, and they’ll text you while you’re playing in the casino; so no big deal either way…. EnjoyMore

For appetizers my friend and I had the most succulent and delicious potstickers I’ve ever eaten, and a delicate finely sliced cucumber salad marinated in a light, exotic vinegar infusion. For the entrees we had drunken noodles with beef, and steamed sea bass. The dinner...was first rate—everything perfectly cooked and impeccably served. The wines were delicious as well. I can’t wait to go back. The next night we ate at Gordon Ramsay’s pub restaurant in Caesar’s Palace, where the food was twice as expensive and nowhere near the quality of Wazuzu. Definitely first rate at Wazuzu.More

Wazuzu used to be a favourite of ours and this time round we were very disappointed. Initially drinks that we ordered took over ten minuets to arrive to our table, then one of them was incorrect, and to add insult, the waiter Andrew tried to...blame one of our guests, we had ordered a gin and tonic and we were brought a Jamesons and tonic, who has whiskey and tonic? He should have just acknowledged the error and fixed it rather than trying to assign blame to us. I have a gluten allergy ( coeliac ) and Wazuzu used to have a gluten free menu that I could look over, they no longer do. I was told by Andrew to look at the menu and tell him what I might like and he’ll tell me if I can have it or not. I HATE this as a customer, why should I as the customer sit and waste my time looking over a menu to pick something which I may not even be able to have, it’s stupid. Give customers menus that tell them what they can and cannot have. As someone with an allergy I only trust what is written on paper in front of me, I do not trust the waiter, particularly in this scenario. I asked Andrew if I could have any of the curries and I was told no. He then returned and told me that I could. When we have come in the past (this was our 5th visit) I have had a curry and the pineapple rice. On this occasion I was told I could have neither; then was told I could have plain rice and the parang curry, as someone with an allergy, this fills me with dread. When our food arrived, there was no repeat of “Gluten free Panang” from the server, to reassure the guest it’s safe, it was just put down and then when I went to eat, it was barely even warm. I gestured over to Andrew and returned mine, everyone else on the table continued eating even though they also said their food was not warm enough, they just didn’t want to have to wait for our entire tables food to be redone. Andrew at this point decided to pass our table to a different waiter even though he continued working, which we thought was very odd, clearly had enough of us. The new waiter returned my meal and said “hopefully this one’s warm enough for you” in a sarcastic manor while laughing. It was warmer, obviously thrown in a microwave as it had only been a minute since it had been taken away. The panang thai curry itself was an insult to Thai food. It was essentially spicy chicken in cream. It did not have the depth of flavour that real Thai food has, even after being reheated it was still barely warm. The rice was tasteless. My partner had wagu rice and said it was luke warm and very oily, and the wagu steak was tough. My aunt had the sweet and sour and left half of it. Our cocktails were all extremely over sweetened also, and we noticed another guest complain about their food and that their cola was flat. Overall, this resultant that used to be our favourite at the Wynn / Encore is now firmly at the bottom of our list. We had originally planned to dine here on our last evening and we are so glad that we didn’t as it would have ruined the trip. The staff in Wazuzu need to visit Sinatras to learn how a restaurant should be run. If Wazuzu doesn’t improve drastically, it will be the next resultant to fail and be replaced in the resort as both the service and the food on this occasion failed to impress and after being regular customers when we visit Vegas, we would now not choose to return and would not recommend anyone visit. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.More
