We read the reviews which were generally not good but decided to find out ourselves. So, we stopped by for a lunch. My chili relleno was flavorful but under cooked. My burrito looked more like a tamale and was the first burrito that I had no interest in taking the uneaten portion home. It's an interesting menu for a small... More

Typically easy to get seating, food is great. Since the restaurant is somewhat out-of-the-way, word of mouth hasn't increased attendance - yet. Service can be a little slow sometimes, however with the kitchen updates, service slowness could be resolved. Always worth the visit. If you know Incline Village it is in the same shopping center as Village Market and the... More

Not a lot to look at but food is very good and service is great. A great spot for a causal Mexican lunch or diner and excellent choices for beer.

We were just passing through Tahoe area and wanted a late afternoon snack to hold us until dinner. We like to eat at the bar so we can talk to the locals and find out more about the area and Juiny, our bartender/server was great as were the other local patrons! We ordered the tacos and ceviche.... WOW! The tacos... More

We've been to Lupita's a few times. They have an excellent lunch specials menu till 2:00 with good food and very good portions. The salsa is homemade and delicious. We've enjoyed the quesidillas, burritos, tacos and chile rellanos and would recommend any of them. The decor, though, is extremely cluttered, dated, and dusty. The place could use a good scrubbing... We are from Houston and judge Mexican food by the high quality TexMex we're used to. This place isn't in the same League. Tried beef fajitas and was disappointed. The beef was chewy and full of fat. The plate was mostly red peppers. The guacamole was served in a tiny plastic container and had very little taste. The pico was... More

We were in Incline Village and hungry. I put a search in my navi system for close restaurants and Lupita's came up. We drove there and found the restaurant in a small strip mall. WOW what a find. We have been in Tahoe for a week and this was our 3rd Mexican restaurant and by far the best. The food... More
