Good location and great beers on tap. It is on the highway and noise is an issue. Food is so, so. Mellow Fellow up the road at State Line is much better choice.

There are many restaurants in the area but, if you want a great hamburger the Char Pit Sand Harbor is just perfect for your "beefy" crave! Yummy!! The employees are very friendly and comical. There were other delicious choices on the menu, however, I preferred their DELICIOUS, cooked to perfection cheeseburger. Enjoy!

The name says it all. You can spot it from the road by the billowing plume of smoke coming off their grills! It's the Char Pit, and it's got great roadside burgers, fries, shakes and other wonderful greasy delights! Parking can be a bit of a challenge, as can seating. Don't be shy to grab a picnic table to share... More

This is a small dive, few tables inside, more outside. Serves up great burgers, fries, etc. Everything is yummy and inexpensive, but a bit on the greasy.

This Char Pit doesn't have the hole in the wall ambience of the Char Pit in King's Beach, CA but sits in side the State Park in Nevada and is steps from the beach. Cheeseburger and fries with a Longboard draft or a Char Runner on the beach is hard to beat. This is a beautiful state park and great... More

Expect crowds, but the food from this little place is delicious! I had the Cajun Chicken sandwich and my husband had the Hawaiian Chicken. Both were great, the service is really slow, so don't be in a hurry.

Good Selection of Burgers, Fish and Chips and Tap Beer. Good amount of outdoor seating, Middle of Kings Beach 10-20$ for burger fries and a brew

We were pleasantly surprised to find this place when we visited Sand Harbor. I was expecting to find more of a concession-stand type place. Definitely casual, indoor and outdoor seating, nice views of the beach. Burgers and fries were GREAT....and yummy malts and ice cream too.

After a long day of playing in the snow, this little whole-in-the-wall was just what the Dr. ordered. We had gyros, burgers, and onion rings... and it sure hit the spot! Everything was delicious. Our food arrived quickly, despite the fact that there were quite a few people there. We shall return the next time we're in the area!
