We chose this place because it was about a block from the Bristlecone Motel. We walked over and ordered carry out because we had our dog with us and we were going to eat in our room. The food was simple and good. Large portions were packaged for carry out service.

After we checked into our hotel we asked the front desk for a recommendation for a quick dinner. This was the one she said was probably the best. Oh boy, were we ever disappointed. My husband ordered wonton soup which contained some grey noodles and some mystery meats floating in an oily broth. He couldn't eat it. My Szechuan tofu... More

Finally found a Chinese restaurant that makes good egg foo yung, light and airy. Usually they make it with the consistence of meat loaf. Very convenient to the Bristlecone Inn, Ramada and other motels, walking distance. One dinner was enough for both of us but we only got one fortune cookie :^(

I found it interesting to see a lunch buffet in this isolated town. The building is fresh, with beautiful tables (photo), new carpet, and spotless toilet. The green beans were very tasty. Much of the rest has similar flavor. The hot-and-sour soup has a weak stock base. Egg drop soup no better. Fried rice looks nice but might as well... More

We went for dinner here whilst staying in Ely because of the good reviews I had read. They are not wrong, this unassuming building provides really excellent food, served and well presented. Portions are substantial most people seemed to end up with a take home box whilst we were there. This really must be the best food of this type I... More

Service was fast; food was great. Green beans with garlic sauce, orange chicken, and a combination dish with shrimp, beef, and chicken were fresh, well seasoned, and very tasty.

Our summer travels had us staying an evening in Ely, NV and though the town itself was nothing to write home about our dinner at Twin Wok certainly was. We wanted something different than burgers or Mexican and after reading through the positive reviews about Twin Wok we decided Chinese it was. This unassuming restaurant sits conveniently along Route 50... More

Ate here while staying at La Quinta. It close enough to walk, abbot you have to cross the street which is wide and somewhat busy. But straight enough to see a good way! We ate Hot and Sour Soup and a dish called Happy Family a mix of beef chicken and shrimp with veggies. Our service was a little slow,... More
