The dish I ordered, lo mein, was delicious to my standards. I'm Asian, born and raised in S.F. so I've had the best Chinese food outside of China I suspect. This dish at Chef Cheng's in Elko is better than I can find anywhere in Reno. I was just driving thru on my way to Salt Lake City or I'd... More

Have eaten at Chef Cheng's many times but tonight we had an order to go. While waiting we were asked if we wanted something to drink and they brought us some of the fried noodles with sweet and sour sauce to have while we waited. They were so kind - the food we took home was GREAT and we will... More

I've eaten Chinese just about everywhere I have visited when traveling. Chef Cheng's is worth writing a review about unlike some I would just as soon forget. I had the War Won Ton soup and Szechuan Chicken. I had the best War Won Tpon Soup ever in Sacramento, California, and frankly, Chef Cheng's was the equal. The Szechuan Chicken was... More

While passing through Elko Nevada and spending the night we wanted to find a place where the locals eat. We had the crab rangoon which was 8 prepared and was very fresh compared to other places we ate at. We had egg drop soup. Walnut shrimp which was OMG better than any place we ate. Christy flavorful outer coating with... More

This restaurant surprised me, and is possibly the best Chinese food I've ever had, regardless of price. I showed up 10 minutes before they closed. No problem sir, is what they said. I go here every time I go through town. Good prices, and fast.

Ok. Whoa. This was so, so, so good. I've never been blown away by Chinese food and this place blew me away. Hot and sour soup? Perfect. Honey Chicken? Perfect. The real star though was the Moo Shu. Our server served it up table side for us and it was wonderful. The portions are huge (I ate the honey chicken... More

If you like Chinese food you have to Try It! Very Good Chinese Food, good prices! Pleasant staff. The portions are large and usually enough for two.

Don't let the old school building fool you. This is good food!!!! Crispy sweet and sour pork, tender meats, rich sauces. Don't miss the Moo Goo Gai Pan. It's was sauce filled meat perfection. The meal comes with an edible sculpture in the shape of a colorful flower.

The reviews were so positive I just had to try it for dinner. Big mistake. The free chips are greasy and the sauce insipidly sweet. The hot and sour soup was neither hot nor sour. Though the menu said the meal came with rice the waiter said it would cost extra. I tried the fried tofu with seasonal veg which... More

I love the food and the people here. It is always hot, taste and fresh. I does not matter what you order, everything I have had is good. Lunch specials are huge and a great deal. Recommended for family, friends or business. The decor is a little dated, but it makes the place.
