Nice city with THAI food. You can enjoy truely thai food here. It is hot, sweet and Yummy. Recommended to go after 1 pm. for less people. Try Thai basil either pork or shrimp.

Enjoyed dining here, good service, good food. Love the green papaya salad, if they still have it. Nice owners.

This restaurant is elegant, the service is great and the food is amazing. My favorite dish is the shrimp and chicken pad Thai. The atmosphere is intimate and elegant, it's perfect for a date or a business lunch. I highly recommend this place if you are visiting Carson City, enjoy the delicious Thai food in our beautiful downtown within walking... More

We had lunch here & had an excellent meal. Both the crispy chicken dish & the salmon were well prepared & good flavor. Service was excellent.

We went to The Basil as Tripadvisor rated it the No.1 restaurant in Carson City. And they are right ! Foor was extremely good : I went for the rather classic fried rice with vegetables and chicken and enjoyed it until my plate was totally empty !

3 of us out-of-towers went here for an early dinner after all day meetings. One colleague had a good deal of experience with authentic Thai food and helped order a family style order of various entrees. The food and service was excellent and we are going to make sure we visit again when we are back in town.

Had a little initial difficulty getting seated at a table where the sun wasn't directly in our eyes- it wasn't that crowded, but the waitress kept moving us to tables with the same problem until we pointed out a table we wanted. After that, everything was wonderful. Soft background music, lots of pleasing art tastefully arranged around the large dining... More

The ratings on this restaurant lived up to the billing. I enjoyed a scrumptious shrimp pad thai. The coconut soup hit the spot. Best of all was the nice smiles from all of the staff and very attentive service. You can have a great meal but if coupled with disappointing service it will always lead to a bad taste in... More
