Delicious soup with a good variety. Friendly staff and great location on the plaza. They have a great selection of good ice cream to complete a meal. If you need your lunch to go, their carryout containers are terrific.

Dropped in for some ice cream and was delighted with delicious ice cream, warm staff, and a fun atmosphere. Great place to take a break and enjoy yourself with a tasty treat. We’d just eaten or we would have tried the soup!

On a road trip and walking down town. Snow on the ground and we thought ice cream sounded good. 16 flavor options and you get a free topping. Great flavor. Wanted to lick the cup!

This is such an interesting concept. There is always room for soup as my friend says and I say there is always room for ice cream to fill in the gaps. It was the perfect combination on a recent coolish fall evening. We picked it...out of the many restaurants in Carson City specifically for its uniqueness. We were not disappointed. We left with happy tummies.More

The food and service is fantastic. The chicken noodle is my favorite; and the clam chowder. My husband loves the sliders. The owners are really sweet and go out of their way for their customers.

Everything about Scoups is perfect! The location on McFadden Plaza, in the heart of Carson City's downtown/historic district couldn't be more convenient, whether sightseeing, attending an event on the plaza, or just strolling downtown. The rotating menu always provides unexpected and delicious soup and ice...cream flavors. They also serve fresh salads and sliders. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the dining area is clean, bright, and pleasant.More

Large tasty ice cream scoops. No scrimping on size of scoops. Wide choice of various flavors. Although very busy service was speedy.

The people running this shop are very sweet. They have great customer service and even give back to the community by giving school free ice cream coupons for teachers to give to students for something special. We love it here!

We had been there several times with grandkids, and oncxe with our cub scout den, and always had ice cream. We kept telling ourselves we should come some time and try the soups. We finally did, and were very pleased with the flavor of the...soups, and as always, the kind service.More

The ice cream was very tasty. The staff was kind and patient with 2 little girls that were a bit rambunctious. They offered tasting, and were happy to go the extra mile in taking care of our needs.

Hubby and I finally made our way into Scoups after following their online rotating house made soups (they change every 3 days). We were looking for something different to satisfy our lunch craving and since the weather was chilly outside we were looking for something...to warm us up too. They were serving Gary's Chili, Sausage & Chicken Gumbo plus Spring Vegetable plus we saw Sliders - count me IN!! So we headed for the McFadden Plaza for some yummy to my tummy soup and sliders! Scoups is a cute little place with the friendliest staff, that was kind enough to go over our options and even offered to let us sample the soups and ice creams if we wanted too - allll of the ice creams if we wanted to, now that's super nice!! They shared with us that the soups are rotated, house made every 3 days and the ice creams come from Oregon, also rotating flavors. We tried the Gary's Chili - very tasty! and decided on the Gumbo with two BBQ Chicken Sliders along with hot tea. The Gumbo had just the right combination of chicken, sausage and rice with not to spicy of flavor that definitely tasted homemade, that this gal continued to gobble up until it was all gone! The sliders were on the BEST softest bread with BBQ and coleslaw balancing each other with flavor explosion like a hoedown was happening in my mouth LOL This was a perfect meal to satisfy our lunch craving while we were cozying up with our hot tea, served in hot water pots, in their quaint shop enjoying our afternoon. We even saw a possible sighting of one of Santa's Reindeer's pass through McFadden Plaza as we enjoyed our meal staring out the Scoup windows. Quaint ambiance, great meal, friendly and helpful staff, we are looking forward to coming back again to try a handmade shake, brownie sundae and another homemade soup. We may even pop in this week to get a soup to-go to enjoy at home, the New England Clam Chowder, Chicken Tortilla and Organic Kale & Sweet Potato is looking yummilicious on their Facebook page.More

We stopped here for dessert after eating dinner somewhere else and I'm so glad we did! The staff was so friendly and personable and the ice cream was mouth-wateringly good. I absolutely recommend the Lemon Meringue Pie and Salted Caramel flavors and my husband said...the Black Cherry was very very good as well. There were many other ice cream options we plan to try sometime and I am very anxious to go back and try the soups and bakery items too!More
