Traveling with a group of friends on the way home from a convention. We had no reservations but they were able to move tables a accommodate 11 of us. The food was good and the server was friendly and efficient. Sam also kept checking on everyone's drinks.

I was on a road trip from Chicago to Denver. I happened to be hungry and stumbled upon this place. It is an old town right off the freeway. It is family owned and all the meat is from their own ranch. I happened to order the buffalo steak. The food was very good and the atmosphere was unique. All... More

Had to pull off the road to see this place. Had bison burgers which we pretty good. Thought the menu was a tad expensive. Now for the real reason people go here - the stuffed game: full sized polar bear, heads of lion, elephant, and a giraffe head, neck, and shoulders. Very sad to see them all hanging there, but... Read about this place in a new book about the Oregon Trail, so we had to try it. Very unique furnishings, stuffed animals and heads, lots of bar décor, even saw cowboys and Indians in the same room. Lots of traffic for an October weekend. It was fun, but I didn't like the food all that much. My wife's chicken... More

I had the cheese steak and hubby had the bacon cheeseburger, both were good, service was very nice. What really stood out was all the animals hanging on the wall. Ole was an avid hunter and shared all his pictures of his hunts along with the animals he hunted. There is even a polar bear!

Husband and I enjoyed the special - fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, and ice cream for $7.99 each. It came out quickly and tasted great. Our server was so nice and friendly, but very slow with the dessert, water refills, and the check. I hate to complain, but we were there for 45 minutes, when we could've been out... More

We went to Ole's with some out of town visitors and the food was excellent. The bar is fun & full if interesting items. The service was good as it was a busy night for them. We've been there several times and are never disappointed. Food is always good. Drinks are always cold. Service is always friendly. People at tables... More

Ole's is a bit of an icon in Nebraska and certainly worth the stop if you're traveling between Denver and Omaha. It's a typical small town tavern with very untypical decor in the many domestic and exotic taxidermy specimens adorning the walls. The place has ample room for the many tourists that wander in as well as the many locals... More

This is a real gem, a piece of history that you shouldn't miss if you are driving by on I-80. Service and food were disappointing.

I loved it, lots of big game on the walls even an elephant, polar bear, and giraffee. Read the story on the place, had a few beers and food and had a good time.
