When you first walk up, the oversized, carved wood doors are impressive; the rest of the restaurant/lodge follows suit. Huge peeled logs serve as the posts to hold up the lofty roof, and more serve as the bar itself and as the lintels over the doors. I've eaten here several times, all for special occasions, and each time the food... More

I am impressed with both the service and food at Wilderness Ridge. It is rather expensive, $32 for a 14 oz ribeye, but well worth the money. The service went beyond my expectations! My son did not like the mashed potatoes, to smokey of a flavor, and they offered to replace them at no cost. Or waiter was extremely busy,... More

We came to Wilderness Ridge to sit outside. It was full so we waited at the bar and had a very nice bartender. However the stupid girls at the front could not figure out when a table was open outside even though many tables were open. By the time we got seated outside it was 20 minutes before anybody stop... I have been to Wilderness Ridge as an "out of towner" while visiting family. It is indeed a local favorite. We dined in the main dining room. The service has been good, and the food delivered prepared as ordered. I do not think I have ever seen a female server there, and I wonder why that is. The ambiance in... More

This is the fourth or fifth review I've written about the Lodge at Wilderness Ridge. We avoided eating there for a year or two because of our most recent (awful) brunch experience there, but decided to give it another try. The building is impressive and comfortable and is close by. The food wasn't horrible before, but it has improved. The... More

It's been awhile since we've dined in the main dining room at The Lodge at Wilderness Ridge. Wow! Great menu selections and the service was outstanding. Glad to see Blue Bloods Brewing Company on the list of adult beverage selections! Our server, Brooke took great care of us.

Wilderness Ridge restaurant used to be great, but this past Sunday it was awful. My wife and I both ordered ggs benedict as part of the Sunday brunch and it was awful. The egg was hard-boiled not pouched, the meat was not Canadian bacon and the muffin was stale and over toasted. Buffet included items you would expect at a... More

You can really see AND taste the difference - Chef Kelli Daniels has arrived. Straight off her runner-up performance on Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen, Chef Kelli is transforming Lincoln's biggest underperforming restaurant. This place should be a destination, but its food and service have never lived up to its magnificent architecture, interior, and location. That might be changing now and... More

The setting is beautiful and that's why I returned for another Mother's Day brunch. You would expect that the main course roast beef would be extra special - instead it was extra tough The sides were unimpressive. Won't be spending another Mother's Day here.

Our party of 6 had made reservations 3 weeks in advance and were told that they had an opening for 10:00am, which worked fine for us. When we arrived, we were sitted in the upstairs, which over all the years the restaurant has been open, we didn't know existed. No windows at all! We requested to be reseated on the... More

Dining at Wilderness Ridge becomes an experience as soon as you enter through the oversized carved front doors. Our friendly staff and will seat you in your choice of the casual bar, which features live music most Friday and Saturday evenings or our more intimate dining room with views of our chefs preparing your favorite entrees.

Our menus change seasonally and feature ingredients from local farms. From the crispiest greens, the juiciest burgers, the freshest seafood to steaks done just right, our seasonal menus offer a little something for everyone. And don’t forget about our signature desserts! You won’t want to leave without trying our Triple Chocolate Mousse! To wet your whistle, we offer an extensive wine list, craft beers and signature and seasonal cocktails. Join us on Sundays for one of Lincoln’s best brunch buffets. Brunch gets extra special around here on Easter, Mother’s Day and Thanksgiving weekend – we strongly encourage reservations on these special days.
