This place definitely isn't fancy but we went there based on the reviews of the food not the decor. You order and pick up your food at the counter and even though we showed up 2 minutes before closing they took the time to explain the menu and had no problem letting us sit down and eat our food there.... Very good BBQ and its in Lincoln Ne. These folks have that Kansas City type BBQ that's properly cooked plated well and served fresh. The sides are good. I am not a big fan of their beans but they are ok. All of the meat I have eaten is tender and very juicy. I have eaten there several times and... More

After tasting Seattle burnt ends, I know what a gem we have in Lincoln. It's first come, first served, so be sure to be early if you want to order burnt tips. One order and two sides are perfect for the two of us, but the important thing is the pure taste of candy melting in your mouth. Tender and... More

We stopped by here after a class and I was pumped to try their burnt ends. I love me some burnt ends. Unfortunately we were too late and they were sold out. The waitress told us they usually run out of them shortly after lunch. She recommended we call in and do a pickup order earlier in the day. I... More

We visit this place often because of the friendly service and best darn BBQ in Lincoln. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for great BBQ.

I came here a couple years ago with my friend and returned today with my husband. We shared the Jacks Combo thinking it would be a light lunch to spare our appetite for dinner later. Not the case! ;-) the combo came with a pile of brisket on a piece of Texas toast, a pile of pulled pork also on... More

Phat Jack's is spectacular. It's KC style BBQ from a family that does competitive que. It's in a strip mall and it's best for lunch because they run out of food every single day. I'd recommend the psycho sandwich which is brisket and pulled pork.

Hard to find, tucked in Belmont Shopping Center, but easy to love! The place is tiny and lunch is pretty crowded but it's worth the wait and sharing tables with your new friends. They have won compititions and have the trophies to prove it. They are simply the best and just be ready to lick your fingers!

Well worth your visit. Excellent service and food. The brisket and beans are my favorites, but I am also addicted to the Carolina sandwich. Easy parking and access. Fair amount of seating, good hours and menu
