The Oven is my favorite Indian cuisine restaurant in Lincoln! We have never had a disappointing meal and the ambiance is very subtle and classic with lovely art adorning the dining room. We love the Kabuli Naan bread stuffed with cashews and raisins and mint chutney sauce, Mullagatawny soup and Chicken Pakoras. All are delicious and as we leave, we... More

I live 2 blocks from the Oven East and I eat there often. It has the best Indian food I have ever tasted (and that includes Indian restaurants in NYC, London, and many other major cities. All of their curries are great, but I especially like the Chicken Tikka Madras and the Vegetable Curry (I ask for medium hot on... More

I've lived in communities with lots of Indian restaurant choices, and I have to say that The Oven is right up there. They are consistently great with service and food quality. It's a nice place!

It's good to have a south location, the interior is nicely done with a big ceiling that helps control smell and temps. I have always thought that the original location downtown has the better food, but the convenience plus easy parking make this a logical choice for me.

This is a great restaurant choice in Lincoln. I can not say whether or not is authentic because I have not had much Indian food, but I can say that it is great food.

We got takeout from here one night and it was just as good as their sister restaurant downtown. The restaurant location is a bit awkward, as the entrance is located on a walkway between buildings, and not the easiest thing to see from the parking areas. It's a shame that the restaurant doesn't fill up more often, as the food... More

We just moved to Lincoln and thought we would try this highly rated restaurant. We called on a Saturday night around 7:30 and surprisingly could get in. We arrived and the restaurant was about 20% occupied which was a red flag. We both tried entrees that were recommended by the staff and were on the milder side of traditional Indian... More

This is the clear front runner for our favorite restaurant in Lincoln. The food is always of the best quality. I have my favorite dishes, but I do try something new every few visits. If you are a little shy about trying Indian food, I suggest you start here or their other location in the Lincoln Haymarket. There are several... More

We joined friends for dinner at The Oven East on Feb. 13. I've often dined at The Oven in Lincoln's Haymarket and wasn't sure the more suburban version would stack up. It proved to be one of the nicest meals I've had in Lincoln recently. The food was excellent -- meeting or exceeding the high expectations I hold for The... More

the food here is great. it is on the spicy side, if you like some spice this will fill the bill. the servings are very generous. it is a little pricey, but is worth it. the service was excellent. it exceeded my expectations. I will certainly return here again. they are very good about serving a solo customer.
