Features African and Caribbean dishes. We ordered the 4 person platter worth jerk chicken, rasta pasta, goat, plantains, mango Cole slaw, rice and red beans. They have very good wings. Smaller restaurant, attentive service, got good in a timely manner. We'll go back!

Service and food were great! We ordered the platter, where you get to try 4 different dishes and several different sides. It was great! I wish they had more side options. Definitely will go again if in the area.

We Tom a party of 6 to this restaurant on a Friday. We were lucky to get a table as this place is very small and reservations are recommended. We had two orders of wings for appetizers, one curry and one jerk. The curry was...mild with a good taste but the jerk wings had crazy good flavor. We did manage to hit happy hour for $2 off each order. They also have beer, wine and some yummy Caribbean type drinks as well as regular fare. I ordered jollof stew and omg was it good. So much flavor and interesting spices. I traded with my granddaughter for her backend shrimp street tacos bc she thought they were spicy. I just thought they were excellent. Everyone loved their food and I can’t wait to try it again with my husband when we get back to Lincoln next month. Really different cuisine and very good.More

We googled ethnic restaurants in Lincoln and this was at the top of the list. After looking at the reviews we were intrigued to so decided to try it out. If you have the chance to go to the restaurant I guarantee you won't be...disappointed. The atmosphere was pleasant, music a little too loud but not obnoxious. The waiter was very helpful in what type of rice would go best with the entree'. Food and service and great! If you could only eat once in Lincoln this is the place to go. We truly enjoyed our experience and felt we got great value for our dollars.More

We've had drinks at Stur 22 before but tonight we ate dinner along with having one drink. We sat at a high top in the bar. There were only two employees, one sort of behind the bar and one waiting on most all of the...tables. We had attention from both. It's a small venue and there was one gentleman at the bar, maybe another employee, who was incredibly loud then add the baby sitting below us, which made the atmosphere loud and distracting. We had one drink then asked for water. Had to make the water request a second time after about 10 minutes. Pet peeve #1. We asked for a better understanding of the menu and the server did a pretty good job explaining it and offered up suggestions. We decided to try the plantains appetizer, which showed up at the same time as our food. Pet peeve #2. I had the jerk chicken street tacos and my husband had the jerk chicken rasta pasta. The food was good but the portions were very small. No one ever asked how things were. Pet peeve #3. I love locally owned restaurants in neighborhoods like this and I know this location has chewed up and spit out many so I really want to see it survive. I remember eating there when it was the Red Rooster chicken place when I was a child. I also appreciate the cultural variety they are offering, but the atmosphere and service is what will make or break a business. I hope they can make it.More

This place was an unexpected surprise- doesn't look that great on the outside but really nice inside with great food. I had the jerk chicken and it was very tasty and had a little kick to it. The plantains were outstanding as well. Great waitstaff-...very attentive!More

We had the 5 entrée group meal with Oxtail Stew, Lamb Stew, African Fish Stew, Shrimp Rasta Pasta and Jerked Chicken served with Red Beans and Rice, Chuck Rice, Fired Plantains, and Mango Slaw. Amazing food, warm atmosphere, personable servers. It's hard to find fault...with this Lincoln Gem. The room could have been a little warmer, but we arrived early in the evening and it did warm up while we were there.More

Great food, excellent service Waiter extremely personable. At first glance the menu looked simple, yet our group of four all ordered different items. Great presentation, wonderful flavors. Highly recommend. Probably not the best choice if you are seeking simple burger, steak or chicken strips; but...for those who appreciate good food and great flavors, give this place a try. I highly recommend the Jollet African stew, and the house slaw! Wife loved the jerked chicken and the fried plantains were delicious.More

The word among our foodie friends has been very positive, so my wife and I decided to give the Stur 22 lounge a try. We are very glad we did. The decor is informal with bamboo accents. The African Paradise cocktail, redolent of coconut and...fresh fruit, was outstanding, and the Caribbean Escape cocktail was good. Beware: just one drink made me feel as if I had consumed two. The wings appetizer was the best in Lincoln, surpassing even the excellent wings from the now defunct Grandmother’s restaurant. The Rasta pasta with jerk chicken and the Caribbean lamb stew were equally excellent. The coconut cheesecake, made in house, was scrumptious. The bill, before tip, came to $60. The service was very friendly. Bicyclists should note that this restaurant is extremely convenient to the Rock Island bike trail as it courses south out of Antelope Park. It is closed on Sundays. Stur 22 adds a new and very welcome note of diversity to the Lincoln restaurant scene. We will be back.More
