This is probably our fifth time to eat breakfast at Engine House and something has definitely changed. The staff was surly and dis-engaged. Is was extremely crowded so we sat at the counter, just the 2 of us. It was many minutes before we were even acknowledged, and longer yet until we were offered coffee. The entire wait staff, all... Stopped here for breakfast before playing golf one morning earlier this week. Great place for breakfast! Home style breakfasts served in a great setting. Great service as our server took really good care of us. Looking forward to a return visit.

Order the pancakes- you won't regret it. We loved the food, the coffee was good and it's a cute atmosphere. Eggs were just right and everything arrived hot and as ordered. Staff is friendly and kind.

We go to Engine House occasionally and their breakfast never disappoints. We usually have the Engine House Special. That is 2 eggs, sausage or bacon, hash browns and toast. It is reasonably priced and good. I like my eggs to be cooked so that their is no jiggle in the whites and they get them right every time. They have... More

We had a good breakfast here. Setting is an old firehouse which has some charm. Service and food are small town diner. We'd recommend it, and we'll come again.

Cute place to go, interesting history behind of it. Service is fast and relative quick. Big portions and presentation of each plate looks good. Great selection of tea. It can use more natural light, it's dark inside.

Knew it would be a busy day, short wait maybe 5-7 minutes at 1130. Interesting brick work & ceiling to admire while waiting. Friendly wait staff, crowded tables, slightly noisy bc everyone is packed closely. But we chatted with the table next to us when their food came, it was out first visit & their umpteenth. The pancake one of... More

The Engine House Cafe is a interesting location in the middle of the historic Havelock district. The food is really good. I enjoy the breakfasts, traditional fare. The lunch menu has some really great comfort food. I loved the pot pie. The breading and filling are nearly perfect. I have never received bad service. The decorations are awesome as they... More
