Just finished our first excellent dinner at a Kearney, NE hometown favorite. Alley Rose recommended by the good folks at the Rowe Crane Sanctuary and by the staff of the Hampton Inn. Thank you to all who recommended it. It is a delightfully decorated downtown restaurant worth driving to from the interstate hotels. We were greeted and quickly seated. Our... More

Wonderful wine selection. Really good food. We went back again the next night. First night we ordered Osso Buco. While the bone selection was poor (no marrow) the meat was delicious. The mushroom risotto was superb. Vegetables were crisp and perfectly prepared. This is well worth a trip.

Always love to eat at The Alley Rose. Amazing steaks and win list. I am not a wine guy but the servers always know how to find me a great glass of wine. I am a little biased about how great The Alley Rose is since I ask my wife to marry me there a little over 10 years ago.... More

This is a high end restaurant with good food and an inviting atmosphere. The staff is very professional and this is definitely a place for special occasions.

We were told about this place by the front desk people from our hotel so we gave it a try. To be honest, we had high expectations after seeing it is number 1 in Kearney and how the front desk described it. The first feeling it gave me is that it is very outdated. It seems like they have not... More

Ronald, Thank you for giving your honest opinion of the Alley Rose, without truly listening to customer feedback, we probably would not have been in business for the last 30 years. I would agree with you that our building and atmosphere might be considered "old school", but the building was constructed in 1906. We have continually upgraded the tables, chairs,... More

This is the second year we have eaten here on Valentines Day and will be our last. The crab legs were almost impossible to get the meat out of. Our table was so small so there wasn't room for a container to put the shells in. We had to just crack them and and put them on the table. A... More

James, I am very sorry for your experience at the Alley Rose on Valentine's Day. As you could probably tell, we were extremely busy that day and had to utilize every table in the building to get everyone taken care of. If I remember correctly, you were sitting in table number 35 and yes, those are the smallest of tables... More

Great food and drinks with excellent service. Food is reasonably priced and drinks are fabulous! Big fan of the fresh squeezed margaritas!

Decided to try the Alley Rose on a recent business trip. Went on Valentine's Day and they had a prime rib and seafood buffet. The steak was very yummy and the seafood seemed very fresh. Nice little find.

The best place in Kearney for a romantic date night. We ordered filet minon and the ribeye. The medium rare for the filet minon is a bit rare, but the taste is unbelievably perfect. Background piano music, a table by the window, perfectly timed waitstaff.
