7 of us had a meal last Friday night 14 April 2017 (we also had our two dogs with us). We had starters and mains plus coffee and teas to finish. The starters arrived after around 15-20 minutes the mains around 20-30 minutes after that. The staff were pleasant, courteous and helpful. I had slow cooked beef bourguignon, others had... More

Very large ornate fireplace gives an air of opulence to this place. Plenty of seating and comfy areas for both large and small groups. Recent staff changes have not been for the better. Change of head chef and manager at the same time have meant a slip in food quality and service. Here's hoping they regain lost ground. Would have... More

Visiting the area for a wedding, we decided to spend an extra couple of nights in an interesting and dog friendly hotel. As we drove into Warmingham village we were commenting on the prettiness of the area and suddenly there we were, The Bears Paw right in front of us. A lovely hotel/pub set back from the road with plenty... More

We met up with our son and grandson for Easter Thursday lunch. As always, the choice of food was impressive, the food itself was delicious, the service was prompt and accurate, everybody was really friendly, and our dog Daisy was made very welcome. Many thanks to our waitress, Paula, and to the whole team. If we lived nearer than 100... More

My husband and I, along with another couple, dined at the bears paw on the 8th of April. We arrived roughly an hour before the time we had booked. On arrival, we were told that we could either have a drink in the lounge area or outside, or if we wanted, our table was ready for us. We chose to... More

We are lucky that we only live a few miles from Warmingham as this without doubt the best restaurant in the area, we have eaten at the Bears paw probably 20 times and even at Christmas and have always received delicious tasting food. You will not be disappointed eating here but please don't go too often as we still want... More

My wife and myself drink & dine at The Bears Paw once every two months as a treat for ourselves and historically we have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. However, the last time we visited, albeit, the food was very tasty, the portion sizes have reduced substantially. With other fantastic bistro pubs in the area, we will be taking our custom there.

Myself and my husband used to live local to the Bears Paw and were frequent visitors for meals and drinks. We moved to Chester 3 years ago and have a great choice of pubs here but still class the Bears Paw as our favourite pub. I recently booked a meal for ourselves and 4 of our friends to celebrate my... A large party of friends and colleagues gathered to celebrate Mrs D's retirement. Having pre ordered our starters and mains we had a great time, fantastic food, served in a friendly and timely manner by Pauline and her team. Considering the number in our party (well over 20) all the food was served quickly and efficiently and was appetising, well presented... More

Fantastic staff, always a pleasure to visit for drinks or food. The roast beef sunday lunch melted in the mouth and was cooked to my preference upon ordering! Complements to the chef and the team for all there hard work, as a busy mum and grandparent it was a real treat to dine with you ;-]
