For the second time in a row, had to pull forward and wait for a drive through order. Was told it would be two minutes this last time, which turned into a 20 minute wait. Food is good, but a 20 minute wait for ‘fast...food” is completely unacceptable.More
We don't normally eat out. At least we didn't until Popeye's came. I reviewed after our first visit, and we went again the very next day! And we've been back a few times. Our old go-to option was frozen pizza. Not anymore thanks to Popeye's!...So far I've only ordered the mild bone-in chicken, and my husband the spicy tenders. One of these days, we'll try the fish or shrimp, but we really like the chicken, so we'll stay in our rut a bit longer. We do rotate among the cajun rice, red beans and rice, or jambalaya for the side. All are delicious! We're are usually too stuffed to eat the biscuit that comes with, but I like to slice it in half, pop it in the toaster, top with jam, and enjoy it for breakfast the next morning.
Service has so far been friendly and pretty fast. They get behind occasionally waiting on chicken because it's so popular, but it's worth the wait. I'm upping my first rating to excellent because the food is consistently tasty and service top-notch.More
I was suprised by how good and fast I got my food. Prices wasn't to bad. Way better than KFC to my opinion. I recommend this to all that want a fast food chicken that is better than most places that has a deli or...chicken for sale.More
We've been eagerly awaiting the opening of Popeye's since we love Cajun-spiced food, and it's finally here! Traffic around the place has been pretty crazy the last few days, but we bit the bullet and tried it last evening. Although there was still a line...for the drive-thru after 7:30pm, we got through surprisingly fast. DH got the three tenders spicy with cajun fries as his side. I went with 3-piece mild with Cajun rice. When we got home, he wanted to wait a bit as he was watching a game, but I dug right in. After a taste of the Cajun rice, I took a forkful to DH because it was so good. He agreed. I enjoyed my mild chicken very much. It balanced nicely with the spicier rice. When DH eventually ate, he was very happy, too. The spicy is spicy!
My guess is that it's a corporate decision, but Popeye's used to advertise crawfish season. We hope they bring that back!!More
