My partner and I were looking for a restaurant that was safe to take our elderly dad. From the word go, we felt the owners and staff had made their restaurant as safe as is possible, even down to taking our temperature! On top of...that, the food was wonderful and the staff super!More

We had the most amazing night at the White Hart from start to finish. The staff were lovely and were up for some fab friendly banter. We were given our table for the whole night, so we settled into our own covid protected area and...enjoyed delicious freshly cooked food with a few drinks! There was no rush and loved that we was given time between each course (one of my dislikes is eating out and feeling like you've been rushed and no sooner finished your starter and the main is out!). We will definitely return on a regular basis. These guys have the pandemic in hand, every single precaution has been covered. From one way system, to sanitiser, to safe distancing, temperature checking and record keeping.. Truly nothing to worry about as they truly care about everyone feeling safe. 👋👋More

We visited the White Heart on its re opening weekend as we were staying in the attached cottage for a short break. Alan, Nigel and all the team could not have been more welcoming to us whilst balancing Covid correct procdures. They were so charming...and accommodating to our son. The pub itself is in a charming building with oak beams and original features. It's now Covid secure with screens and a one way system but still cosy, spotless and very pleasant. We enjoyed several meals during our stay and recommend Alan's Special Chilli, The House Roast Ham, The Roast Lamb (so local it was from the field at the back of the pub) and the roast potatoes which my other half said were the best he had ever tasted. The thing that makes this pub truly stand out is the care and attention of its hosts who most genuinely want to be the best at that they do. We are a very chatty family so got to know them a little and in every conversation this shone through. If you love Boxer dogs you will adore their two - our son fell head over heels with their new pup Willy. We can't thank Alan and Nigel and team enough for their hospitality, wholeheartedly recommend and hope to stay again. Mary Mark and JamesMore

Althought we have lived in the village for some time we have never been to the pub to eat before however throughout lockdown we loved the takeaways. Visited this evening and what can I say. The enviornment was very safe (test and trace, temp checks, plastic...barriers, one way systems). Its the safest and most comfortable we have felt since lockdown eased. The staff were lovely and and attentive and the food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!!!More

Finally after 5 long months away from this cracking country pub it has finally reopened we went for the first time since March and its very well socially distanced on the tables all the staff wear face visors and lots of hand sanitizer on hand...from when you walk in until you leave along with the one way system and big perspex screens around bar area you have to thank Alan the owner and his fantastic staff and nigel for making the pub feel very safe while we were there also a different menu now but still lots to chose from and some delicious puddings the food did not disappoint either lovely as always been going here for many years now and it was so nice to have some normality back in these crazy times if you want somewhere safe and clean very well social distanced and not forgetting the fabulous food then the white Hart is the place to go for a meal also Alan does a great takeaway service if you fancy that insteadMore

I could literally copy and paste the review below as it says everything that I want to say . We have been visiting this restaurant now since we found it a few years ago and have really missed the friendly staff and excellent food during...lock down we missed the friendly chat with Nigel and when we heard they were opening up again today it made our week We were booked for 7.15 and were welcomed by Alan who showed us in and pointed out the safety measures they have put in place. It is nice to see the pub have put the effort in to look after there customers and I can honestly say if you are unsure about whether to visit then I would highly recommend. We will be returning again next week So please go and visitMore

The White Hart has always been a family favourite venue for meals so when they said they were reopening we had to try. Being a local old building pub I have to confess that I was a little anxious about going in. The food is...amazing as are the staff, but could they do social distancing measures?? The answer is Yes!! We chose lunch as thought it would be quieter than evening. From entering I was reassured.. Auto handsanitizers, one way system around the pub, staff all wearing face shields and tables separated by distance and plastic shields!! I understand that it may seem weird but it was reassuring to me as I have walked into other places and walked straight out due to over crowding no distancing and staff wearing no protective gear. The staff made up for the visible measures and the warm friendly welcome and service remained. Well done to the team at the White Hart!! They have gone above and beyond to keep their staff and customers safe!! If your worried don't be, but remember you can always takeaway if you wish instead as the food is as good as ever!!More

Great takeaway service with great food. Can thoroughly recommend the tuna pasta bake with garlic bread. Easy ordering and collection process. Great value (very large portion!)

We took advantage of the pubs takeaway menu. Lovely food, piping hot and generous portions. . Very well organised so everything was brought to us outside., payment taken outside so we didn’t have to enter the premises. Lovely helpful staff. Will definitely go again.

Much of this form is not applicable but I have completed it as far as I can. We had a fabulous takeaway on Saturday evening and it was absolutely delicious - every bit as good as the meals we are used to eating in the...restaurant/bar on a regular basis. Well done everyone. Yes providing they are well behaved, do call beforehand and let us know if you can, then we can ensure you have a table not in a walkway. Thanks, Alan

I don't think there's a children's menu, but the main menus are very varied and the staff are very helpful.
