My husband and I are traveling cross country from Virginia to Oregon. After a super early start and a few early morning hours driving interstate 80, we needed a breakfast break. The Green Apple Cafe was the perfect stop. My veggie omelette and hash browns were tasty. My husband had the breakfast burrito with green chili sauce. The green chili... More

Home made food at a good price. I love to eat there whenever I can. It is a family friendly sit down and relax kind of place.

We stopped in on an out of town trip for lunch. It seemed to be where all the locals were at. I had the Reuben sandwich that was on special and soup. The soup was vey tasty as well as the classic Reuben. They had a soup and salad bar that looked good. My husband and son had burgers which... More

Green Apple is a Ma and Pa type cafe that I found friendly people, an awesome breakfast menu, and. delicous French Toast, eggs, and bacon. The cafe sits around 40 - 45 people. Prices were slightly below what I have paid in other breakfast cafes in my travels. The menu had a front and back page of just breakfast items... More

We travel fulltime volunteering for our Natuonal Parks...not a fan of fast food, yet if a local place is too far from the interstate, we will probably forgo it. Do not miss the Green Apple! Not only is it 1 mile off the highway, the service is good, the food was great! The only glitch in the entire visit? I... More

When we travel, we like to try places the locals go. The Green Apple Cafe in Cozad, NE is just that. And maybe the only restaurant in town besides fast food. It was ok, not the best, but not the worst. I had the fish basket - a little overlooked but it had some flavor and wasn't greasy. The fries... More

Worth a stop for lunch. Nothing spectacular, just good wholesome truck-stop type food. Loved the variety of soup choices. Restrooms tiny, help cheery, fairly crowded so the locals must like it.

Really wonderful spot. A prototypical small town cafe. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside is exactly what you would hope. They're very good at what they do.

We went for lunch-had their broasted chicken which was some of the juiciest yard-bird I've ever had. Service was super friendly. Did not try the soups but all homemade with 4-5 choices. Salad bard was ok but somewhat limited. Pies-pies-pies-the coconut cream and raspberry peach were delish! They probably serve great breakfast (closes at 2pm). Chamber brochure has discount coupon.
