There was a long wait for our food as it was really busy. Theres plenty to do, sit and watch the swimmers, visit the animals or play the games. The food was nice, beer and wine a little expensive but didn't ruin a good day.

When stopping over in Picton and time to spare a boat ride out to Lochmara for lunch would be ideal. The food is tasty, the location beautiful and afterwards enjoy a walk around the grounds.

We were in for an early lunch while kayaking back to Picton. Great coffee and very friendly helpful staff. I had breakfast really and it was good. Sat in a room with a fireplace off to the side. Something about the acoustics was awesome in there and the soft music just flowed without disrupting conversation. Gorgeous view. Nice beach to... More

The food was very good but the restaurant is truely a cafe but with classy restaurant prices. Not even a candle on the table. I think they have the right idea as it is simple but they just need to add a bit of class to their evening act with some nice table cloths and candles to hide the cafe... More

The food here is absolutely fantastic and the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful! Really fast service however did find it quite expensive per meal. The restaurant views are beautiful!

The food was delicious but menu exceptionally limited, with many dishes no longer available. Food prices are EXPENSIVE! prices you'd expect to pay at a really nice restaurant in Auckland.

The meals, breakfast, lunch (mussels so enjoyed) and evening meals all delicious and well presented to a very high standard. Staff were friendly and helpful. For the quality of the food it was reasonably priced. Recommend the ribeye steak, the hubby loved the salmon and the cream brûlée was squeezed in - so good.

While visiting Lochmara Lodge on a day visit I ate on their outside Patio. It was so peaceful and I enjoyed the view while eating the most scrumptious mussels ever!
