They had to move because the flood destroyed the old restaurant. But the service and food are still great. The portions are huge and the food is delicious. Highly recommend.

We visited the Lodge Restaurant before it was sold to Catfish Lake and decided to check out the new eatery at the same location in LaPlatte (just off Hwy. 75 and north of the Platte River). Tables are spaced in accordance with the new Covid-19...guidelines. Service was outstanding, as was the food. My wife had the walleye, and I chose the two-piece chicken dinner. Both were tasty. We're looking forward to going back.More

Was so anxious to try the new Catfish Lake at “The Lodge” again. It’s actually been probably 20 years or more since we’ve even gone to Catfish Lake restaurant. We arrived early on a Friday evening. Before 5:00 pm. There were several tables available in...the main dining room. We started walking towards a couple choice tables in the nicely decorated dining room. Then the Hostess came up to seat us, which was fine. As she proceeded through the large dining area to the back room, I asked if we could sit in the main area. She said, NO!! The next waitress to receive patrons is located in the back room so we would have to sit there. Didn’t even get sat down when the busboy started throwing and clanking dishes together in the dirty dish bins several feet from where our table was located. Sounded like they were breaking glass it was so loud!! Was hard to visit! Just really think the owners need to rethink their rules as to sitting their customers. Maybe the people that get there early could be seated in the nicer area and those that are later and no tables available in the main area could sit in the back room with the dish bins, Instead of having to wait for a table. And maybe bring the waitress to the customers if it’s her/his turn instead of bringing the customers to her/him. Part of my dining experience is the atmosphere/aviance not just the food. We spent $100 at our table, WON’T BE BACK!! And not the easiest place to find if you haven’t been there since the new highway construction. Too bad – the food was not bad. The waitress we had was nice - not her fault!!!! What a shame!!!! : ((((More

The Bros-In-Law got there at 5:30 PM and the place was jamming. I ordered the Famous Fish double order with two sides. The corn looked and tasted old. The coleslaw had too much sauce. The fish was OK but not noteworthy. Our tickets were lost...when we got ready to leave so the server had to rewrite. This was not impressive.More

8/16/19 5pm. Husband had walker. 4 tables for 4 and 4 large tables available in front room. Hostess took us to a back room table for 4. When I said he will have a hard time getting out she said “this is going he only...table I have” seriously why not one in the front room. Cheeseburger handmade but cooked black and crusty chunks of burnt fell off. Searched for ketchup none in back. Cheeseburger and chicken noodle soup loaded with salt place packed at bar counter and all over front door. Outside picnic tables packed waiting for a table. Walleye was good. Been going for 35 years We are NOT going back. Service was slow but friendly. Need more staff. Need to change food to the way it was before flood.More

Wife and I took a son and grandson to eat lunch. Very nice venue with lots of seating. We had great service and food was outstanding. Walleye was superior as was chicken. Shrimp also very good. Grandson got grilled ham and cheese but ham was...a thick cut which didn't appeal to the teenager.More

They need to get experienced staff in place, more staff to handle the crowds and trained on the computer system. Went on a Tuesday nite, place was packed no body able to get table cleared, wiped down our own table , bottled beer was warm,...horrible service, food was good when we finally got it. They have huge issues that need to be addressed because ppl will not travel out of their way once they have an experience like that. We wont be going back anytime soon.More

This is a review of the NEW Catfish Lake at The Lodge in La Platte Ne. Old Catfish Lake was kind of rough around the edges, but had good food. New one is a "little nicer", but I can't comment on the food. But I...can comment on the service, or lack there of. Went at 7pm on Friday night and they were busy. Waited about 10 minutes for a table to be cleaned off. There were enough empty tables for everyone waiting. Just none cleared off. So we sat down and were given menus and that was the last thing anyone brought us for the next 45 minutes at which time we left. After about 20 minutes a waitress did take our drink order, but we never got it and she never came back or even close to our table again. I thought it might just be a bad night. So tried again Saturday night and it was even worse, if that's possible. So while it still may have the good food, and it may. I guess I'll never know. Screw me once shame on you, screw me twice shame on me. With as many good places to eat in our area, I'm not going to give it the old third times the charm.More

Ordered my prime rib well done and had to send it back multiple times because it was bloody. We figured out that the waitress must have switched around how my husband and I ordered ours. His steak was well done and he had ordered it...medium rare. The waitress acted like it wasn't a big deal. By the time my prime rib was finally done right the rest of my family had already almost finished their meal. The chicken noodle soup was excellent. The atmosphere was great. If we would have had a waitress that could have gotten our order right, or even offered a sincere apology this review would've been much different.More

This is a great place and certainly worth the drive! Their fried chicken was juicy and flavorful, the grilled salmon excellent, prime rib sandwich had an awesome flavor and was a good half-inch thick, and their wild rice side dish was very much to my...liking. Service was excellent and we loved the casual atmosphere!! The menu had a great variety of options to choose from - something to suit everyone’s tastes!! Would definitely return and highly recommend!!More

Stopped in here with some friends on a Sunday evening - had not been here for years - restaurant had been renovated since last visit - place was quite crowded - would assume the people enjoy the menu - We ordered a few beers and...checked out the menu - ordered a walleye sandwich ($8) and cole slaw ($3), Husker Chops with mash potatoes and chicken noodle soup ($11) and balsamic chicken with french fries to go ($10)- our friends had Carp w/ cottage cheese and veggies and catfish with fries. Chicken and fish require 20 minute cook time - waitress was very busy but still attentive - food arrived in about 15-20 minutes and at same time - everything was warm - food was very tasty - quite enjoyable - Add in a couple beers($5) I had and my bill was $39 and change including taxMore

Not a great atmosphere, but many different offerings of fish dishes that would appeal to most any fish lover, and even some that aren't. Deep fried catfish, they do it very well.
