we were staying right by the mountain and went here one night for supper. We had real good service at the bar, enjoying some nice craft beers and other drinks. The bar food was good, some decent chicken fingers, wings and onion rings. Nice bar/lounge...atmosphere with several video games to play as well.More

We went here for a burger and drink. The burger was ok and the chicken strips were fine. They had not ciders or sweet drinks so we ended up with water. Interesting local flavor.

Thanks to the Bierstube for accommodating our large group on last minute notice. Following a power outage our plans to cater an event for our group and we had to make a very last minute switch to Bierstube. Pizzas were great.

Beer good! Was expecting a great burger by reputation. It was burnt and tasted of that, and was just o.k. But did I say beer was good!!

If you’re looking for a child friendly place to drop your children for an apres kindergarten haunt than this is your place. What is lacking are young singles, friendly faces with beer smiles, and a Blizard of Ahhhhhhs vibe. Sunday football is on the big...screen, there is popcorn for the little ones, and watch your feet at the bar as there will likely be a florescent yellow helmet in front of you waiting on a hot chocolate. Beer, profanity, tipsy tomfoolery, single mingling, and spilling pints over laughter and sick turns should look elsewhere.More

If you like bar food and cold drinks this is the place for you. Since I have gray hair I felt out of place however I felt very safe eating and drink there.

Local bar at base of ski hill. Local place where locals working in the area stop to socialize and drink a pint. Order and pick up food at bar. Good bar type food served on metal plates. Stop in on Wednesday'sat 6 for local nominations...for "dumb mistakes" awards. Lots of fun.More

We have had a couple of condos on Bg Mountain which we use or rent out for the past 25 yrs. We have regularly gone to the Bierstube and have recommended it to our visiting renters. It used to be a fun, friendly place to...go after a day’s skiing. Well that is about to change. Tonight we went there with plans to order a pizza, enjoy the Frabert, and talk skiing with old friends. Our first order of drinks was fine, but when we tried to order pizza we were advised that the pizza was not available and wouldn’t be for at least an hour. When we expressed our disappointment the waitress advised in no uncertain terms that “this is not a pizza parlour, we’re a bar” Huh? A bit nasty to say the least. So because of her attitude we decided to go home & cook. Just before we left I called the Manager over, but when I told him about his bad attitude waitress, he was just as rude as her!! He said “oh, really? Well that’s too bad”. Needless to say, this place will never be on our list again. It has become a dive anyway, so no real loss. I have done 155 or so reviews and this is likely my worst. It deserves it. On top of the bad service, the cost of a glass of house wine was $8.00! Most expensive in all of Whitefish area. It was so bad I left half of it. Stay away from this place.More

You can still get your ring at bierstube , they still make them, & I think kids are allowed in until 9(?) if i,m not mistaken. The ringmaker takes holidays in July,so he should be there when you go!
