we went up to the summit on a foggy day with a tour group, we had box lunches but they do sell some food. Mostly a bar with hot drinks, beer, etc.

After a fun and eventful morning of skiing under sub-degree temperatures, a lunch break at this restaurant was a welcomed stop. This restaurant was tightly controlled in seating guests to ensure that the COVID19 precaution regulations were followed. Once seated, your party orders their food...cafeteria style with a variety of menu selections to satisfy all tastes. Food prices are reasonable but moderate based on the location remoteness. The food is very good for fast food.More
Try and feed a family on these prices! Gross bathroom. Too many half drunk tourists. Sack lunch, no room for you!
Prices have gone up but food quality same- nothing spectacular and a bit overpriced. Party of 3 and nobody particularly impressed with their food.
While staying at the beautiful Meadow Lakes Resort in nearby Columbia Falls, we decided to spend our Sunday taking a gondola ride up to the mountain summit in Whitefish. It turned out to be the very last day the restaurant was opened for the season....My wife and i were glad to have visited before they closed. Although the menu was limited . the staff did their very best to make everyone feel at home with their friendliness. We sat outside enjoying drinks , in the warm beautiful weather , looking at the beautiful scenery all around us (mountains, forest, and the valley below us. )The only problem was that riding so high up the mountain on the gondola, i expected it to be cold, so i wore warm clothing. It was pretty warm.. Being from Southern California, while visiting Palm Springs, It could be 90-100 degrees in the city, but when you take the tram up the mountain there, the temperature can drop 30 degrees and more. We would definitely return.More
Skiing: When the sun is out you can see the town of Whitefish and the lake. And....when it is foggy enjoy the food and drinks at the Summit house.
Great views form top of the mountain. Good variety of food-incl healthy eats. Bar to relax and catch a drink Great place to stop on the mountain
We were mesmerized by the view - besides being fun to ride up to, the deck has just a few seats in the summer, so we just grabbed chairs and skipped the table so we could sit and take in the grandeur of the mountain-to-lake...scenery. I had an emu burger, with a watermelon salad and a huckleberry milkshake - all good! The salad was sparingly topped by a vinaigrette dressing and feta cheese, and the shake was very sweet, but it was all flavor-filled. Recommended!More
This restaurant at the top of the mountain has great food. And not your usual on slope food. I had a really good coconut rice and chicken teriyaki bowl that was amazing. They have many choices and not too pricey either! Well worth it.
nice place for on mountain eating and good value compared to other places we have been. As always seating at prime time can be a challenge
The best part of getting to this restaurant was taking the gondola up the summit! The view was breathtaking. It was cold on top so a hot cocoa and sweets were perfect to look out over the landscape.
The meatball sub is assembled fresh and baked with mozzarella cheese while you wait. It comes out fresh and crispy - delicious! We tried the gravy fries - not so good as they were too salty for us. But we're not Canadian lol.
Great little summit house. Different to the European style spots but still great. There is a little clothes shop as well. The curly fries are amazing and hit the spot.
Whether hiking, biking, or doing the scenic lift ride the Summit House is a good place to enjoy the views and have some food and drink. The menu is fairly inspired for the location and there is full bar service as well. Portobello sandwich and...calamari hit the spot. Watermelon with a balsamic drizzle was a great alternative to fries. Only downer was the wait for food--nearly 30 minutes when there was no line to order.More
Nice break during the day for a drink and to look out over the region. Beautiful views. Would love to know what towns we were looking at, though. The ground from lift to restaurant was gravel making it a little difficult to push a wheelchair....Once on the ramp, though, everything was accessible.More
