We discovered Ernie's Bakery and Deli while on a family vacay in Yellowstone Park. We stopped in every morning to have box lunches made up the day. They were fantastic. Great selection, made fresh to order. Really friendly service from a nice family owned business....There is no other place in town quite like this!More

I met the owners the night before they were so kind I knew I had to come for breakfast. I am so glad I did!! I got an espresso, black coffee, and a breakfast sandwich upgraded with a croissant. The croissant was perfectly flacky, the...espresso was strong, and the coffee was roasted perfection. This is definitely a can’t miss when visiting Yellowstone. Thank you for your care in the food and service. Sincerely a full happy & caffeinated travelerMore

We got box lunches here one day and they were just ok. Not much meat on the sandwich and store bought bread. We tried another bakery the next day that was much better and seemed to be much more home made.

I picked up sandwiches to take in the park. The place opens at 7 and the people were there and super nice. The box lunch comes with a sandwich, chips, drink, cookie, candy, and an apple. Great for eating on the move. The sandwich was...very very good. A nice spot with nice people.More

A quick little spot in west Yellowstone near the east entrance to Yellowstone National Park. You can order bag lunches to take with you for about $12.50. We just walked in twice and made our selections from their lunch to go menus. You pick meats,...cheese, bread and condiments which are wrapped separately plus an apple, chips, chocolate and cookie and drink. Everything was very fresh. Save time and try this place!More

Wow. What a pleasant surprise to get this quality of food among the average food in West Yellowstone just outside the park. The best breakfast we have had on the road. Fabulous French toast. Great sausage and bacon and perfectly cooked eggs. Best biscuits ever....And beautiful sandwiches to carry to the park. Every kind of bread, meat, cheese and fresh vegetables for custom made sandwiches, chicken salad, as well as grilled sandwiches. There’s a nice box lunch that includes an apple, chips, etc. Also super pastries donuts cookies etc. Nice decor, very clean restrooms and the nicest people you could ask for. There was a line when we arrived as it’s popular, but they are quick to take orders and it was still fast. We ate breakfast while they made our lunch to carry to take to the park. Thank you Nathan and David! We love your place!More

We stayed in Island Park and would drive to Ernie’s almost every day. The pastries are amazing. My favorite was the Pains Au Chocolate, chocolate croissant. Blueberry muffin is a must. Also had lunch there and it was as equally delicious. Recommend lunch box to...go. Don’t miss visiting Ernie’s.More

My family ate here 5 days in a row based upon the reviews from this site. We loved it!! The biscuits and gravy with eggs were amazing!! My son loved their hot chocolate too. The boxed lunches were huge, so fresh and we ate them...3 days in a row. I’d highly recommend this small business for all your breakfast and boxes lunch needs.More

Not vegan friendly! I got a veggie sandwich. It contained one little limp piece of lettuce, sliver of onion and two tomatoes! This is the same amount of veggies I would have gotten if I’d ordered a meat and cheese sandwich with veggies. Outrageous price...($10) for what I received!More

We are sorry not to have any vegan options. However, knowing this, you ordered a veggie sandwich without cheese, you were free to pass. This sandwich had a lot more veggies than you described, you are showing only half of your sandwich on the photo...More

Hubby really enjoyed his daily omelet. The breakfast sandwich was okay. Maybe I should have ordered a different bread. The crepes were a great change. Had just a croissant one morning and that was really good. Everything was bread oriented. Maybe if I could have...gotten a bowl of oatmeal or cereal I would have liked it more. Service was very quick. The box lunches looked like a great value for what you received. Very clean. What I liked was this place is not in the downtown area so it was easy to park at. Service was very friendly and prompt. We ate there 3 days in a row so we did like it.More

This has been our favorite place for grabbing our lunch sandwich before heading to the Yellowstone park for the day. Lots of choice with quality products. These guys definitely know how to make good food... and I'm not saying that because I'm French myself! ;-)...They've got a great "build your own sandwich" option, a choice of lunch boxes, and yummy paninis with a genuine Italian taste. And you should definitely try the French bakery products!More

Hi. It seems to me that this owner has answered all non-positive reviews with poor explanations and a poor attitude. He absolutely was not wearing a mask and the area that he has some plexiglas in was of no help. Where he stood he was no where near 6 feet away and was spreading his germs directly to the customer. In a response to another review, that walked out due to no masks being worn, he responded "In Montana, wearing masks in businesses is not a requirement." The reality is that he does not care about the humans that are passing through his town. Regarding the "nothing looked like it was disinfected", when all of the tables are dirty the floors are filthy, and no disinfectant is in sight, it is easy to get that impression. Oh, and maybe he could get the WiFi fixed or cover the Free WiFi sign until he does. I did not need WiFi, but overheard the other guy tell a customer that it was not working. So, can you tell me how this place gets good reviews?
